Abstract: A random access method is provided including: a terminal side device obtains first uplink data from a first message buffer, wherein the first message buffer is a buffer specific to a first random access procedure, the first random access procedure is a procedure in which the terminal side device sends a first random access request, sends the first uplink data on a first uplink resource, and receives response information, and the response information is a first random access response to the first random access request or a response to the first uplink data. The terminal side device sends the first random access request to a network side device, and sends the first uplink data to the network side device on the first uplink resource. The terminal side device detects downlink control information, wherein the downlink control information indicates a resource of the response information.

Abstract: A bandwidth part processing method and apparatus is provided. The method includes: responsive to expiration of an inactivity timer corresponding to an active first bandwidth part BWP, determining whether a carrier in which the first BWP is located includes a second BWP in an active state; and responsive to determining that the carrier includes the second BWP in the active state, deactivating the first BWP. According to this method, an unnecessary BWP switch procedure can be avoided.

Abstract: Embodiments of this application provide a data transmission method, an apparatus, and a system. The method includes: obtaining a transmission pattern combination of data including at least two data packets, where the transmission pattern combination includes at least two transmission patterns, and the transmission pattern indicates a transmission manner and/or a processing manner of the data packet; and transmitting the data based on the transmission pattern combination, where the transmission pattern is determined for each data packet in correspondence to a matching condition, and the matching condition is associated with feature information of the data packet. According to the foregoing method, a manner in which a data packet is processed and transmitted can be accurately controlled, so that data packets with different features are processed and transmitted by using appropriate transmission parameters, to ensure service transmission reliability and implement effective resource utilization.

The method includes a terminal device that receives first configuration information and second configuration information from a network device. Abstract: A data transmission method and an apparatus are provided. The method includes determining, by a first communication apparatus, that transmission of a first data packet has failed, the first data packet being transmitted in a first transmission manner; and sending, by the first communication apparatus, P data packets after the first data packet, the P data packets being sent in a second transmission manner, P is an integer greater than or equal to 1, and a second transmission reliability corresponding to the second transmission manner is greater than the first transmission reliability corresponding to the first transmission manner. In this way, because the first communication apparatus sends the P data packets after the first data packet in the second transmission manner, transmission reliability of the P data packets is improved, so that successful transmission of the P data packets can be effectively ensured, and service interruption can be avoided.
