    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a display device and a driving method thereof, which relate to a field of display technology. According to the present disclosure, first image data and second image data are merged by using a graphics processor. The merged image data may be transmitted to a control chip through only one interface. Then the merged image may be split by the control chip to obtain first image data and third image data, which are respectively transmitted to a first driving chip and a second driving chip to drive a first display panel and a second display panel to display, wherein the third image data is at least partially the same as the second image data.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method and apparatus for driving a display panel, and a display device. The method includes: upon driving an ith row of sub-pixels, scanning a gate line connected to a jth row of sub-pixels, and determining a reference grayscale of each of the jth row of sub-pixels in each candidate connection mode, wherein a plurality of data lines have a plurality of candidate connection modes; determining a target connection mode that minimizes a grayscale variation degree of the jth row of sub-pixels from the plurality of candidate connection modes; connecting the plurality of data lines according to the target connection mode; and disconnecting the plurality of data lines before driving the jth row of sub-pixels through the plurality of data lines.

    Abstract: A display-driving apparatus for driving a display panel having at least two display areas is provided. The apparatus includes a storage device configured to receive and store a group of source data signals corresponding to a frame of image. The apparatus further includes a demultiplexer configured to split the group of source data signals into at least two sub-groups of data signals. Additionally, the apparatus includes a converter configured to convert a signal format of a respective one of the at least two sub-groups of data signals to a displayable format corresponding to the display panel. Furthermore, the apparatus includes a controller configured to transfer the at least two sub-groups of data signals in the displayable format to respective at least two display areas of the display panel to display a frame of image.

The display device includes a backlight module, which includes a plurality of backlight regions. The display device includes a backlight unit, the backlight unit includes a plurality of backlight blocks and is driven by a local dimming mode, and the image display processing method includes: acquiring a regional eigenvalue of each backlight block of an (n)th frame image and a regional eigenvalue of each backlight block of an (n−1)th frame image; and performing a peak driving processing on a backlight luminance of each backlight block of the (n)th frame image, based on a preset threshold, the regional eigenvalue of each backlight block of the (n)th frame image and the regional eigenvalue of each backlight block of the (n−1)th frame image, so as to acquire an adjusted backlight luminance of each backlight block of the (n)th frame image.
