摘要: A molded liner member for a fluid pump is disclosed. The liner member includes a generally annular ring, having an inner surface, an outer surface which is substantially concentric with the inner surface, and first and second end surfaces. The annular ring is molded from fiber reinforced polymer, and a majority of the fiber reinforcements in the polymer are oriented substantially parallel to an axis passing through the center of the annular ring. A method for making the liner member is also disclosed.

摘要: A quick disconnect pump assembly is disclosed. The pump assembly includes a housing with inlet and outlet ports, an elongate slot, and a retainer channel. A sliding lock moves within the slot between a locked position and an unlocked position. The sliding lock includes inlet and outlet port openings and a sliding lock retainer opening. The inlet and outlet port openings each engage and retain a removable fitting when the sliding lock is in the locked position, but do not engage or retain the removable fitting when the sliding lock is in the unlocked position. The pump assembly also includes a sliding lock retainer which passes through the sliding lock retainer opening to prevent removal of the sliding lock from the elongate slot. A fluid pump and a beverage dispenser utilizing the pump assembly are also disclosed.

摘要: A liquid level sensor that provides digital signal processing for transforming a magnetic field into a continuous linear output signal that corresponds to the level of liquid within a vessel that is being monitored. The invention uses 3D field sensors for decompensating unwanted interference caused by electric drives or the earth's magnetic field or other magnetic fields caused wires or magnets. The sensor can also be combined with 3D accelerometer to optimize compensation of unwanted interference. The accelerometer always provides the center of the earth so that an angle of deflection of the liquid versus the horizontal can be determined and correct any faulty measured value of the liquid level. The invention is highly robust yet is low cost to manufacture.

摘要: A method for forming a large metallic component, a friction stir welded component and a friction stir welded blank are provided. The method includes positioning a first metallic plate and a second metallic plate in an abutting arrangement. The first metallic plate and the second metallic plate have corresponding faying surfaces at a point of abutment. A backing plate is attached spanning the point of abutment adjacent the faying surfaces. The first metallic plate is friction stir welded to the second metallic plate to form a friction stir weld along the faying surfaces. The backing plate receives an end of a friction stir welding tool curing the friction stir welding. The backing plate is removed to form a welded blank. The welded blank is formed into a component form. The component is heat treated and aged to form the large metallic component. The friction stir weld in the welded blank has a stable microstructure having little or no abnormal grain growth during elevated temperature forming, heat treatment and aging.

摘要: A refrigeration system including a storage chamber configured to store a product at a predetermined temperature. The storage chamber is defined by an inner wall. The inner wall at least partially defines an air plenum. The inner wall includes an opening wall surface, a floor surface, a rear wall surface and a ceiling wall surface. The system also includes a refrigerant circuit including a compressor, a condenser, a condenser fan, an evaporator and an evaporator fan arranged and disposed in an operable configuration to provide refrigeration to the storage chamber. The air plenum includes a conduit arranged and disposed to convey air from an air inlet across the evaporator and into a discharge chamber and out an air outlet. The air outlet is configured to discharge cooled air in a direction toward the opening wall surface.

The invention utilizes temperature variation moderating heat reservoirs consisting of high specific or latent heat capacity materials to significantly reduce the cycle temperature variation while maintaining the ability to successfully defrost the freezer.
