Abstract: A multi-band generalized antenna architecture using two or more types of antenna element is presented. Linear arrays of a first type of antenna element are used for one or more frequencies while a second antenna element type is used for other frequencies. The second type of antenna element is located between the linear arrays of the first antenna element type. The second antenna element type may be arranged in a staggered configuration or they may be arranged as linear arrays as well. The first type of antenna element may be a patch antenna element while the second type of antenna element may be a dipole antenna element. The patch antenna element may be used for high band frequencies while the dipole antenna element may be used in low band frequencies. The spacing in vertical direction is not equal to minimize the effect of arrays on each other.

Abstract: A remote radio head assembly attaches a remote radio head to the back wall of an antenna unit. The remote radio head assembly has a radio bracket attached to the top of the radio head having a handle for lifting and carrying the radio head. Radio guide spacers attached to the back side of the remote radio head are for sliding the remote radio head along a mounting rail attachment disposed on the back wall of the antenna unit. The mounting rail has a pivot hook for receiving an installation lever configured to engage with the handle to move the remote radio head in downward and upward directions so as to couple the connector ports of the antenna unit.

Abstract: An omnidirectional MIMO antenna system includes a multi-panel antenna, each panel including a plurality of antenna elements and a plurality of beam forming networks employing Butler matrices. Each Butler matrix has the same number of input ports and output ports. The total number of the input ports of the Butler matrices is equal to the number of ports of the MIMO antenna, each of the input ports receiving the same signal. Each of the output ports of each of the Butler matrices is coupled to an antenna element within the plurality of the antenna elements, such that the multi-panel antenna exhibits a quasi-omnidirectional beam pattern.

Abstract: Systems and devices relating to antennas and antenna systems. A horizontal omnidirectional antenna has two dipoles with each dipole being in a V-configuration such that the arms of the dipole define an angle. The two dipoles are arranged so that the angles defined by each of the dipoles face and open toward each other. The horizontal omnidirectional antenna can be configured to operate with specific frequency bands. By nesting two instances of this antenna, with one configured for high band frequencies and one configured for low band frequencies, a dualband omnidirectional antenna can be obtained. The resulting antenna is physically compact and can be used in small MIMO systems along with vertical omnidirectional antennas.

Abstract: A dipole antenna array element using crossed dipoles is provided. The arms of the crossed dipoles are spaced apart from a ground plane. The length of the arms of the crossed dipoles, as well as the height of the array element, is dependent on the lowest wavelength of signal for which the element is to be used with. To adjust the impedance of the antenna array element, a strip of conductive material is used to enclose an area about the arms of the dipoles. A patch component can also be used with the arms being between the patch component and the ground plane.
