    Abstract: A cellular base station antenna is provided with a plurality of radiating elements arranged among a plurality of columns disposed over a reflector. In accordance with one embodiment, the first array of antenna elements and second array of antenna elements are arranged across three vertically arranged columns. At least a first array of antenna elements includes at least some of said plurality of radiating elements on each one of the columns operating together to produce a first antenna beam. At least a second array of antenna elements includes at least some other of the plurality of radiating elements on each one of the columns so as to operate together to produce a second antenna beam. As such, each of the three vertically arranged columns include at least some elements from both the first array and the second array.

    Abstract: An omni-directional small cell base station antenna includes at least one array of a first frequency on a lower portion of the antenna, at least one second array of a second frequency on an upper portion of the antenna, and at least one third array of a third frequency on the upper portion of the antenna. The second frequency is higher than the first frequency, and the third frequency is higher than the second frequency. The at least one second array at a second frequency includes a plurality of reflector plates with antenna elements of the second frequency thereon, and the at least one third array at a third frequency includes a plurality of reflector plates with antenna elements of the third frequency thereon. The reflector plates of the at least one second array are interspersed between the reflector plates of the at least one third array such that the reflector plates of the second and third arrays alternate around the circumference of the upper portion of the antenna.

    Abstract: A cellular beamforming base station antenna is provided having a reflector, a plurality of signal ports located at the bottom of said reflector, a calibration circuit, a plurality of beamformers, coupled to the signal ports, and a plurality of radiating elements, coupled to the beamformers. The plurality of radiating elements are arranged into a plurality of vertically aligned columns disposed across a width of the reflector, the plurality of radiating elements are each also positioned in one of a plurality of horizontally aligned rows along the length of the reflector. Elements in one of the plurality of rows of elements are connected to at least a first of the plurality of beamformers. Elements in another of the plurality of rows of elements are connected to a second of the plurality of beamformers. Outputs of the first and second beamformers are connected to the calibration circuit which is connected to different ports located on a bottom of the reflector.
