摘要： A fueling environment communication system for providing high bandwidth information via existing field wiring to a plurality of forecourt devices. The communication system according to this aspect comprises a back room communication module having a first plurality of Ethernet ports for connection to external devices using Ethernet communication and a second plurality of Ethernet ports. The back room communication module further comprises a plurality of modulation interface devices each connected on a first side to a respective one of the second plurality of Ethernet ports. A summing and isolation module having a high pass filter is connected to each of the modulation interface devices on a second side thereof to pass a modulated high frequency signal. The summing and isolation module further has a low pass filter through which low frequency legacy data can be passed and combined with said modulated high frequency signal. In addition, summing and isolation module is connectable via existing field wiring to communicate with forecourt devices in point-to-point fashion.

摘要： A fuel dispenser comprises a housing, a dispensing hose, a pump operatively connected to the dispensing hose and a source of fuel. A computer is operatively connected to the pump, a power supply is operatively connected to the computer and an auxiliary power supply is operatively connected to the computer. The auxiliary power supply is configured to provide power for a predetermined amount of time if the power supply should fail. A first display has a rear polarizing layer and a front polarizing layer. The first display is mounted in the housing so that the front polarizing layer is viewable by a user. A second display has only a front polarizing layer positioned adjacent to the first display front polarizing layer so that the first display projects an image through the second display. The first display and the second display are operatively connected to the power supply and the computer. The second display is operatively connected to the auxiliary power supply.

According to one method, first historical metering data associated with a fuel flow meter and second historical metering data associated with a reference meter are maintained within a memory. The first historical metering data is compared with the second historical metering data. It is determined whether a difference exists between the first historical metering data and the second historical metering data that can be corrected by calibration of the fuel flow meter. In response to determining that a difference exists between the first historical metering data and the second historical metering data that can be corrected by calibration of the fuel flow meter, an automated calibration of the fuel flow meter is performed.

摘要： The present invention provides enhanced security to internal components in a main access compartment of a fuel dispenser. Both a primary lock on a main panel, that secures the main access compartment, and a hidden second lock, hidden inside a lower compartment of the fuel dispenser, must be bypassed to gain access to the internal components, thus providing enhanced security. The lower compartment is also protected by a lock, which must be bypassed in order to gain access to the hidden second lock in an attempt to bypass the hidden second lock. This locking arrangement provides greater security than prior art methods since three locks, including a hidden lock, must be bypassed to breach security and gain access to the internal components in the main access compartment of the fuel dispenser.

A pressure sensor may be used to monitor the vacuum in the interior space to detect a leak in the power head or the casing. 摘要： A fueling environment distributes fuel from a fuel supply to fuel dispensers in a daisy chain arrangement with a double-walled piping system. Fuel leaks that occur within the double-walled piping system are returned to the underground storage tank or a sump proximate the submersible turbine pump by the outer wall of the double-walled piping. This preserves the fuel for later use and helps reduce the risk of environmental contamination. Leak detectors may also be positioned in to fuel dispensers detect leaks and provide alarms for the operator, and help pinpoint leak detection that has occurred in the piping system proximate to a particular fuel dispenser or in between two consecutive fuel dispensers.
