Abstract:
Certain embodiments of the present invention provide the ability to control a camera from a wearable mechanism device, such as a watch, pendant or other device with its own limited display. Certain embodiments of the present invention provide a wearable mechanism device for remotely controlling a camera with an intuitive user interface and sequencing of interface options. In one embodiment, the display on the wearable mechanism changes before a picture or video is taken with the electronic camera. Certain embodiments of the present invention provide the ability to partially control a camera from the wearable mechanism device, providing split control.
Abstract:
A device with a display and, optionally, a touch-sensitive surface detects a first input corresponding to a request to share first content from a first application while displaying the first application on the display. In response to detecting the first input, the device displays a sharing interface that includes a plurality of options for sharing the first content. While displaying the sharing interface, the device detects selection of an affordance in the sharing interface. In accordance with a determination that the affordance is a respective user-first sharing option for a respective user, the device initiates a process for sharing the first content with the respective user. In accordance with a determination that the affordance is a protocol-first sharing option for a respective protocol, the device initiates a process for sharing the first content using the respective protocol.
Abstract:
An electronic device displays a control user interface that includes a plurality of control affordances. The device detects an input by a contact at a location on the touch-sensitive surface that corresponds to a control affordance, of the plurality of control affordances, on the display. In response to detecting the input, when a characteristic intensity of the contact does not meet an intensity threshold, the device toggles a function of a control that corresponds to the control affordance; and when the characteristic intensity of the contact meets the intensity threshold, the device displays modification options for the control that correspond to the control affordance. While displaying the modification options, the device detects a second input that activates a modification option of the modification options. The device modifies the control that corresponds to the control affordance in accordance with the activated modification option.
Abstract:
An electronic device with a touch-sensitive surface, a display, and one or more sensors to detect intensity of contacts: displays a first user interface that includes objects of a first type and objects of a second type; detects a first portion of a first input that includes an increase in characteristic intensity of a first contact above an intensity threshold while a focus selector is over a respective user interface object; in response, displays supplemental information associated with the respective user interface object; while displaying the supplemental information, detects an end of the first input; and, in response: if the respective user interface object is the first type of object, ceases to display the supplemental information; and, if the respective user interface object is the second type of object, maintains display of the supplemental information after detecting the end of the first input.
Abstract:
In accordance with some embodiments, a device displays a user interface that includes user interface objects associated with respective object-specific operations that are triggered by changes in contact intensity. While displaying the user interface, the device detects a first input. In response to detecting the first input: if a focus selector is at a first location, the device performs a first operation associated with the first object; if a focus selector is at the second location, the device performs a second operation associated with the second object; and if a focus selector is at a location that is away from any objects that are associated with object-specific operations that are triggered by changes in contact intensity, perform a third operation that includes updating the user interface on the display to concurrently visually distinguish the first and second objects in the user interface.
Abstract:
An electronic device with a display showing a user interface (UI) in different orientations relative to the display. In landscape orientation the user interface includes a dock region displayed along the right or left edge of the user interface. Application icons or other UI objects that are arranged in a row on the dock region in portrait orientation are arranged in a column on the dock region in the landscape orientation. UI objects and folders from other pages move from underneath the dock region onto the user interface. Furthermore, notification and control windows are overlay on top of portions of the dock region in landscape orientation of the user interface.

Abstract:
A method includes displaying a suggestion region above an on-screen keyboard. The suggestion region includes multiple suggested character strings. The method further includes: detecting a gesture that begins within a predefined key of the on-screen keyboard; and responsive to detecting the gesture: in accordance with a determination that the gesture ends within the predefined key, inserting a first character string into a text field; and in accordance with a determination that the gesture ends outside of the predefined key, inserting a second character string into the text field, wherein the second character string is different from the first character string.
