The UE may generate, based at least in part on a plurality of preamble sequence rules for a preamble sequence configuration of the one or more preamble sequence configurations, a preamble sequence for a RACH communication in a RACH procedure. Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may be configured to receive configuration information from a base station, and the configuration information may indicate at least two different random access channel (RACH) request configuration parameters that each is associated with a respective radio resource control (RRC) state. The UE may be further configured to generate a first message associated with a two-step RACH procedure including a preamble and a payload, the payload including data on an uplink data channel and at least one reference signal. The UE may be further configured to transmit the first message to the base station using at least one of the at least two different RACH request configuration parameters that corresponds to an RRC state of the UE. The preamble may be transmitted on a first set of resources associated with a RACH occasion, and the payload may be transmitted on a second set of resources.

Abstract: An UE transmits at least one UE configuration parameter to a base station comprising at least one preferred parameter for a UE configuration, e.g., in addition to a preferred setting for a delay budget report. The UE then receives a configuration from the base station based, at least in part, on the at least one UE configuration parameter transmitted to the base station. Additionally, a base station receives the at least one UE configuration parameter from a UE comprising at least one preferred parameter for a UE configuration, e.g., in addition to a preferred setting for a delay budget report. The base station then configures the UE using the at least one UE configuration parameter received from the UE.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for randomized frequency locations for uplink grants. The uplink grants may be “Type-1” uplink grants. The uplink grants may be used to schedule resources for ultra-reliable low-latency communications (URLLC) in new radio (NR) or 5G access. Aspects provide a method for wireless communication by a base station (BS). The BS transmits one or more uplink grants configuring a set of user equipments (UEs) with a plurality of transmission opportunities (TOs) available for uplink transmission by the set of UEs and a plurality of frequency locations associated with each TO. The BS configures the set of UEs for randomly determining one of the plurality of associated frequency locations for each of the configured TOs, for uplink transmission. The BS receives uplink transmissions from at least two of the set of UEs in at least one of the configured TOs at different frequency locations.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses for performing a beam recovery procedure using a second CC are disclosed. A UE may perform a beam recovery procedure using two component carriers (CCs): for example, first component carrier may be a beam formed millimeter wave (MMW) carrier having a beam recovery procedure and second component carrier may be an assisting carrier such as a sub-6 GHz carrier or a different MMW carrier. In a first example, a UE may trigger beam recovery for first component carrier (on second component carrier), generate a beam measurement report, and transmit the beam report on resources allocated for uplink transmission on second component carrier. In a second example, a new scheduling request (SR) may be defined on first component carrier for second component carrier beam recovery. In a third example, RACH resources or procedures on second component carrier may be used to perform the beam recovery for first component carrier.
