Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a first configuration of a first channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) resource for channel measurement with a first CSI-RS port configuration. The UE may receive a second configuration with a second CSI-RS port configuration. The UE may measure a second CSI-RS resource associated with the second configuration and the first CSI-RS resource, wherein the second CSI-RS resource is a subset of the first CSI-RS resource. The UE may compute a channel quality indicator (CQI) based at least in part on renumbering CSI-RS port numbers of the second CSI-RS resource according to the second configuration, and/or a precoding matrix that is based at least in part on the second CSI-RS port configuration. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: A base station and a user equipment (UE) may perform a dynamic waveform switching for physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmissions. The base station may send a configuration for dedicated waveform switching associated with the PUSCH transmissions, and transmit, to the UE, an indication of a first waveform for transmitting the PUSCH, the indication being independent of the bandwidth part (BWP) configuration for the PUSCH. Based on the configuration for the dedicated waveform switching associated with the PUSCH transmissions and the indication of the first waveform for the PUSCH transmission, the UE may transmit the PUSCH, at least one PUSCH repetition, and at least one retransmission of the PUSCH, and the base station may receive the PUSCH, at least one PUSCH repetition, and at least one retransmission of the PUSCH.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first wireless device, such as a reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS), or some other relaying device, may receive a first indication of a set of zones (e. g., locations) to which the first wireless device is configured to relay one or more messages. The first device may receive a second indication of a set of beams of the first wireless device associated with a corresponding zone of the set of zones. The set of beams may be configured to serve the corresponding zone. The first wireless device may relay communications to the corresponding zone using at least one beam of the set of beams based on the communications being for the corresponding zone or for a second wireless device located in the corresponding zone.

Abstract: Aspects are provided for switching flexible bandwidth parts (BWPs) according to one or more communication metrics or power metrics of one or more of a user equipment (UE) or a base station. In certain aspects, the UE may be configured to receive, from a base station, a command to switch from a first bandwidth part (BWP), wherein the first BWP is associated with a first bandwidth and a first slot format dedicated for the first BWP. In certain aspects, the UE may be configured to switch from the first BWP to a second BWP, wherein: the first bandwidth is switched to a second bandwidth, the first slot format is switched to a second slot format, or the first bandwidth is switched to the second bandwidth and the first slot format is switched to the second slot format.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In a wireless communications system, a base station may support a flexible cell with a set of carriers including an anchor carrier and two or more non-anchor carriers. In some examples, a user equipment (UE) may select, from among the set of carriers and based on receiving an indication of the configuration, a carrier for transmission of a request for system information associated with the flexible cell. The UE may transmit the request for system information to the base station via the selected carrier. Additionally or alternatively, the UE may select a carrier for reception by the UE of an acknowledgement for the request for the system information, and the UE may receive the acknowledgement for the request for system information via the selected carrier.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit an indication of a plurality of beams received by the UE. The UE may receive a message indicating at least a first resource set associated with one or more first beams from the plurality of beams and a second resource set associated with one or more second beams from the plurality of beams. The UE may transmit a report indicative of a level of correlation between pairs of individual beams, each pair including a first individual beam of the one or more first beams and a second individual beam of the one or more second beams, and the UE may communicate with the base station via a selected beam of the one or more first beams or the one or more second beams.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for implicitly indicating transmission power level for channel state information (CSI) reference signals, such as may be used for channel sounding procedures. A method includes receiving a first CSI reference resource indicating a CSI reference signal (CSI-RS) transmission power level, receiving one or more CSI measurement resources during an implicit indication interval beginning with the CSI reference resource and ending with an uplink resource configured for sending a channel state metric, and determining the channel state metric based on the CSI-RS transmission power level and at least one of the one or more CSI measurement resources.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. For example, some aspects relate to techniques to signal information related to a cell discontinuous transmission (DTX) or discontinuous reception (DRX) configuration prior to a user equipment (UE) commencing a random access channel (RACH) procedure or during the RACH procedure. In this way, after the RACH procedure is complete, the UE may start to monitor physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) occasions in a next active time associated with the cell DTX/DRX configuration. Additionally or alternatively, information related to a cell DTX configuration may be signaled in a system information block (SIB) or a multicast/broadcast service (MBS) configuration for UEs receiving MBS communications. Accordingly, the UE may refrain from attempting to decode a multicast traffic channel (MTCH) and/or refrain from attempting to decode the MTCH and a multicast control channel (MCCH) during the inactive time of the cell DTX configuration.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. Some aspects relate generally to UE discontinuous reception (DRX) timing in association with a cell discontinuous transmission (DTX) configuration and/or a cell DRX configuration (“cell DTX/DRX configuration”). Some aspects more specifically relate to modifying one or more UE DRX timers in association with a cell DTX cycle and/or a cell DRX cycle (“cell DTX/DRX cycle”). For example, in some aspects, a UE may modify UE DRX timers to maintain a number of activity states in association with the cell DTX/DRX configuration. For example, the UE may maintain a UE active time, a UE DRX inactive time, a cell DTX non-active time, a cell DRX non-active time, and/or a cell DTX/DRX non-active time in association with the cell DTX/DRX configuration.
