For example, a first UE may transmit an uplink signal indicating a request for the base station to transmit a UE discovery request signal to a second UE. The sidelink signal may indicate that the second UE may be available for a cooperative link with the first UE. In some cases, based on the sidelink signal, the first UE may establish the cooperative link with the second UE. In some examples, based on establishing the cooperative link, the first UE may receive downlink communications from the base station via at least sidelink communications from the second UE over the cooperative link.
