Abstract: A method and device for transmitting a reference signal are discussed. The method can be performed by a wireless device, and can include generating a pseudo-random sequence, generating a reference signal based on the pseudo-random sequence, and transmitting the reference signal sequence. The device can include a signal generator coupled with a data processor and configured to generate a pseudo-random sequence and a reference signal based on the pseudo-random sequence. Abstract: A method of a user equipment (UE) operating in a wireless communication system using orthogonal subcarriers, the method including generating, by the UE, Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM)-based symbols, wherein each OFDM-based symbol includes a cyclic prefix (CP) and a data part, transmitting, by the UE, a first subframe including N OFDM-based symbols, wherein N is an integer and transmitting, by the UE, a second subframe including N OFDM-based symbols, following the first subframe, wherein, when the first subframe and the second subframe are overlapped based on a timing adjustment command received from a base station, the first subframe is transmitted completely while the second subframe is transmitted partially without an overlapped part of the second subframe.

Abstract: A method for channel-coding information bits using a code generation matrix including 32 rows and A columns corresponding to length of the information bits includes, channel-coding the information bits having “A” length using basis sequences having 32-bit length corresponding to columns of the code generation matrix, and outputting the channel-coded result as an output sequence. If “A” is higher than 10, the code generation matrix is generated when (A−10) additional basis sequences were added as column-directional sequences to a first or second matrix. The first matrix is a TFCI code generation matrix composed of 32 rows and 10 columns used for TFCI coding. The second matrix is made when at least one of an inter-row location or an inter-column location of the first matrix was changed. The additional basis sequences satisfy a value 10 of a minimum Hamming distance.

Abstract: A method for generating a channel quality indicator (CQI) in a mobile communication system is presented. The method includes grouping a number of subcarriers to form at least one channel quality indicator subband for generating a channel quality indicator, and generating a channel quality indicator in each channel quality indicator subband, wherein a size of each channel quality indicator subband is dependent on a system bandwidth value and is an integer multiple of a downlink frequency resource unit size, wherein the downlink frequency resource unit size is prescribed according to the system bandwidth value.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for transmitting a reception acknowledgement for hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) of a user equipment (UE). The reception acknowledgement may be an ACK signal or a NACK signal for physical downlink shared channels (PDSCHs). The reception acknowledgement is transmitted on a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH), and the UE selects a resource of the PUCCH based on a number of the received physical downlink control channels. That is, the UE selects a first PUCCH resource for a number of the received PDCCHs being less than a pre-defined number, and the UE selects a second PUCCH resource for a number of the received PDCCHs being equal to or greater than the pre-defined number.

Abstract: A reference signal transmission method in a downlink MIMO system is disclosed. The downlink MIMO system supports a first UE supporting N transmission antennas among a total of M transmission antennas (where M>N) and a second UE supporting the M transmission antennas. The method includes transmitting, by a base station (BS), subframe-associated information which designates a first subframe in which data for the first UE and the second UE is transmitted and a second subframe in which data only for the second UE can be transmitted within a radio frame having a plurality of subframes, and transmitting the first subframe and the second subframe. Reference signals corresponding to antenna ports ‘0’ to ‘N−1’ of the N antennas are mapped to the first subframe, and reference signals corresponding to antenna ports ‘0’ to ‘M−1’ of the M antennas are mapped to the second subframe.

Abstract: A method and a user equipment (UE) for transmitting control information in a wireless communication system are discussed. The method according to one embodiment includes receiving a parameter which indicates whether transmission of a hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) on a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) and a sounding reference signal (SRS) in one subframe is configured; if the parameter is true, transmitting, in a primary component carrier (CC), the PUCCH, which coincides in a same subframe as the SRS, by using a shortened PUCCH format carrying at least one of the HARQ-ACK and a positive scheduling request (SR); and if the parameter is false, transmitting the PUCCH by using a normal PUCCH format, while not transmitting, in a secondary CC, the SRS which coincides in the same subframe as the PUCCH. The shortened PUCCH format is a shortened PUCCH format 1/1a/1b or a shortened PUCCH format 3.
