A system, method and computer program product having instructions stored thereon for automatically data streaming a multiparty conference session comprises receiving an Internet-based interface at a session moderator, said Internet-based interface configured for said session moderator to enter a request for data streaming a multiparty conference session, automatically establishing a data stream of said conferencing session, without any human intervention, wherein establishing said automated data stream includes: recording the multiparty conference session, and data streaming the multiparty conference session to listen-only participants thereby enabling listen-only participants to connect to the multiparty conference session without using additional conference ports and/or conference resources.
Abstract:
A method for computer control of online social interactions based on conversation processing. A portion of a conversation with a given user is recorded, stored in memory, and processed so as to influence subsequent interactions. These may include audio or other contextualized annunciations of subsequent telephone calls. Other modes addressing conversational processing for social purposes can result in interwoven conversation guided among threads of interest, advertising and incented participation of conversational content and placement. The invention is capable of implementation in telecommunications systems such as cellular, local exchange, and VOIP, and in combination with other forms of internet-based telecommunication, including smart phones and adaptive forums chat rooms.

An enclosure for communication devices is described comprising a rear housing and a faceplate. Various faceplates may be provided for different communication devices. The rear housing mounts to existing phone backboards. The rear housing may remain mounted and the faceplate exchanged for a different faceplate with a different communication device. The enclosure provides a simple, ubiquitous, an inexpensive enclosure that can support various communication devices that provide a variety of communication services to users such as email, VOIP, video calls, or other advanced telecommunications.

A video endpoint and related methods are disclosed. A video endpoint includes a control circuit configured to provide a user interface configured to enable a user to communicate with another user of another video endpoint with text during video communications with the other user. The user interface is also configured to enable the user to select from text strings stored in a database. A method of operating the video endpoint includes transmitting data corresponding to a selected one of the text strings stored in the database to the other video endpoint during the video communications responsive to the user selecting the selected one of the text strings. A method of transforming a computing device into a video endpoint includes storing computer-readable instructions directed to performing the functions of the control circuit on one or more servers, and transmitting the computer-readable instructions to the computing device.

A method for establishing connection is provided. The method includes following steps. A call is established between a first mobile device and a second mobile device. A connection-assisting item is shown on the first mobile device. When the connection-assisting item is selected, the first mobile device sends a first text message having a first format to the second mobile device. An agree-to-establish-connection item is shown on the second mobile device. When the agree-to-establish-connection item is selected, the second mobile device is connected to a server through which the first mobile device further establishes a connection with the second mobile device.

A computer-implemented technique can include receiving a video chat request to initiate a video chat with at least one invitee user. The technique can include for a specific invitee user, determining a degree of notification for a specific video chat invitation for the specific invitee user, the degree of notification comprising a notification medium and a notification level each having a degree of intrusiveness, wherein determining the degree of notification is based on: (a) a number of invitee users specified by the video chat request, and (b) video chat attributes of the specific invitee user. The technique can also include outputting the specific video chat invitation to an invitee computing device associated with the specific invitee user via the determined notification medium, wherein receipt of the specific video chat invitation causes the invitee computing device to notify the specific invitee user according to the determined notification level.

A system, process and computer-readable media that incorporate teachings of the subject disclosure may include, for example, an interactive application delivering captions of an audio signal, such as a voicemail message or audio received concurrently during a telephone conversation. The application can be a television application, for example, receiving at a media processor associated with equipment of a first party, a textual interpretation of an audio signal of a second party, for example, during an active telephone call between the first party and the second party. A graphical image of the textual interpretation of the audio signal is rendered at the media processor and presented to a display device, such as a television display.
