Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and computer-readable mediums for wireless communication are disclosed by the present disclosure. In an example, a host wireless device may transmit a discovery message to a client wireless device. The client wireless device may transmit a random access channel (RACH) preamble on a first time domain resource to the host wireless device in response to the discovery message. The client wireless device may later transmit a second RACH message to the host device on a second time domain resource after the first time domain resource. The second time domain resource may be defined by a mapping from the first time domain resource. The host device may transmit a third RACH message establishing a communication session between the host wireless device and the client wireless device.

A method that may be performed by a wireless node includes determining a communication mode to be used for communication by the wireless node, wherein the determining of the communication mode includes determining whether the communication is associated with multiple simultaneous communications with one or multiple other wireless nodes. The method may also include determining a beamforming configuration to be used for the communication based on the communication mode, and communicating in accordance with the communication mode using the beamforming configuration.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to indicating beams for user equipment beam reporting. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, an indication of a plurality of candidate beams on which the base station is able to simultaneously transmit communications to the UE, and determine a first beam and a second beam from among the plurality of candidate beams, based at least in part on one or more measurements of the plurality of candidate beams. The UE may transmit an indication of the first beam and the second beam to the base station, and receive communications simultaneously on the first beam and the second beam. A second apparatus determine to transition between a first set of resources associated with an MT function of the second apparatus and a second set of resources associated with a DU function of the second apparatus at a transition time. The second apparatus may further transmit, to a parent IAB apparatus, information requesting a guard period associated with the transition time based on the transition between the first set of resources and the second set resources.

Abstract: A UE may determine that two or more resources on two or more beams from a base station have phase continuity. The UE may determine, based on the two or more resources on the two or more beams having the phase continuity, a joint channel information associated with the two or more beams using individual measurements respectively corresponding to the two or more beams. The UE may then transmit, to the base station, a group-based beam report including the joint channel information. The base station may provide the UE with an indication that the two or more resources on the two or more beams from the base station have phase continuity. The base station may receive the group-based beam report from the UE based on the indication, and the base station may configure communication with the UE on a joint channel based on the group-based beam report.
