Abstract: Method and apparatus for delay states having variable configurations. The apparatus transmits, to a network entity, a delay status report indicating an uplink delay detected by the UE, wherein the uplink delay is greater than a first threshold. The apparatus switches, subsequent to transmitting the delay status report, from a first state configuration to a second state configuration that is different than the first state configuration for transmission of uplink data before a delay budget is exceeded. The second state configuration is a delay critical state and comprises a set of configurations for the transmission of the uplink data. The apparatus communicates, with the network entity, based on the second state configuration.

Abstract: Aspects presented herein may enable a network entity to configure other types of reference signals, such as reference signals configured for communications, for positioning measurements. In one aspect, a network entity, such as an LMF, transmits, to a plurality of base stations, a request for a capability report indicating at least one of whether the plurality of base stations have a capability to formulate an RS for communication as a PRS for a UE positioning session or whether the plurality of base stations have a capability to transmit a PRS dedicated for positioning for the UE positioning session. The network entity receives, from each of the plurality of base stations, the capability report. The network entity selects at least some of the plurality of base stations and a signal pattern configuration for the UE positioning session based on the capability report received from each of the plurality of base stations.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive control signaling indicating a configuration identifying a pattern where a network entity cycles between a first network operation state and a second network operation state, where the second network operation state may be associated with lower power consumption than the first network operation state. Based on the control signaling, the UE may switch from a first sidelink mode of operation to a second sidelink mode of operation, where sidelink communication of the UE is scheduled by the network entity for the first sidelink mode of operation and the sidelink communication of the UE is scheduled by the UE or a second UE for the second sidelink mode of operation. In response to switching, the UE may communicate, while operating in the second sidelink mode of operation, one or more sidelink messages with the second UE.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a base station, information identifying multiple remote UEs for which the UE serves as a relay UE. The UE may receive, from the base station, an indication of a grouping of the remote UEs into one or more paging groups. The UE may monitor, for each paging group of the one or more paging groups, paging occasions associated with that paging group to determine whether paging messages for the remote UEs in that paging group are received from the base station. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Energy harvesting (EH)-capable devices may harvest energy from different sources, such as a radio frequency sources or environmental conditions such as solar energy. The consumed energy by the EH-capable device may be dependent on a task type and the properties of the EH-capable device. Processing of data symbols, demodulation reference signal symbols, and control symbols may involve different energy costs at the EH-capable device. An EH-capable device configured with multiple slot formats may report to the network the immediate energy status and capabilities of the EH-capable device and/or respective energy costs for the EH-capable device for each of the slot formats. The network may schedule communications involving the EH-capable device (e.g., sidelink communications, uplink communications, or downlink communications) based on the energy costs for the EH-capable device for the multiple slot formats and/or the energy status of the EH-capable device.

Abstract: The present disclosure provide techniques for communicating energy request reports and energy reports. A method includes sending an energy request indication in an energy request occasion, the energy request indication indicating a request for a user equipment (UE) to send an energy request report to the network node. The method further includes sending the energy request report, the energy request report indicating a request for a network node to transmit power to the UE or a request for time for the UE to harvest energy. The method further includes sending an energy report indication in an energy report occasion, the energy report indication indicating a request for the UE to send an energy report to the network node. The method further includes sending the energy report, the energy report indicating to the network node at least one communication capability of the UE based on an energy level of the UE.
