Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first wireless device may receive, from a second wireless device, an indication of one or more parameters associated with a reference signal that is to be transmitted by the first wireless device. The one or more parameters may be encoded separately from the remainder of the control message using a secret key that is known to both the second wireless device and the first wireless device. The first wireless device may then decode the one or more parameters using the secret key, and may transmit the associated reference signal to the second wireless device based on decoding the parameters using the secret key.

Abstract: Systems and techniques are provided for wireless communications. A first network entity (e.g., a user equipment (UE)) may receive information indicative of a first discontinuous reception (DRX) configuration and information indicative of a second DRX configuration. The first DRX configuration is indicative of a first DRX on-duration of the first network entity. One or more DRX configuration parameter values of the second DRX configuration are different from one or more DRX configuration parameter values of the first DRX configuration. The first network entity determines a discontinuous transmission (DTX) enabled state of a second network entity (e.g., a base station, such as a gNodeB (gNB)). The DTX enabled state corresponds to a DTX on-duration of the second network entity. The first DRX on-duration is within the DTX on-duration of the second network entity. The first network entity receives, from the second network entity, downlink information during the first DRX on-duration.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, cell wake-up signal (C-WUS) configuration information indicating C-WUS resources configured for one or more C-WUS monitoring occasions. The UE may detect whether a C-WUS triggering condition is satisfied. The UE, in connection with the C-WUS condition being satisfied, may transmit a C-WUS via at least one C-WUS resource, selected from the C-WUS resources configured for a C-WUS monitoring occasion. The at least one C-WUS resource may be associated with a C-WUS resource selection parameter. Particular aspects of the subject matter described herein can be implemented to realize one or more of the following potential advantages. In some examples, the described techniques can be used to increase network energy efficiency and network power savings.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for rate-splitting multiple access (RSMA) for sidelink communication. An example method include determining a set of resources, in a resource pool of one or more resource pools, to use for transmitting information to a group of receiver UEs (RX UEs), transmitting to the group of RX UEs an indication that the TX UE will transmit the information to the group of RX UEs using rate splitting multiple access (RSMA), and transmitting the information to the group of RX UEs in the set of resources using RSMA. Transmitting the information to the group using RSMA may include transmitting a common message including combined control information to the group of RX UEs using a first precoder and transmitting individual private data messages to each RX UE in the group of RX UEs using separate respective precoders different from the first precoder.
