    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for a scheduled entity to communicate within a wireless communication network. In one aspect, the scheduled entity receives a plurality of neighbor cell measurement relaxation mechanisms from a scheduling entity. The scheduled entity determines one or more channel condition parameters and selects one or more of the pluralities of neighbor cell measurement relaxation mechanisms, based on the determined one or more channel condition parameters. The scheduled entity executes measurement of one or more neighbor cells using the selected one or more neighbor cell measurement relaxation mechanisms.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides techniques for addressing switching times of Integrated Access and Backhaul (IAB) child nodes. For example, a parent IAB node may determine a switching time for the child IAB node to switch from transmitting on a backhaul/uplink to a parent node (with transmit power control) to transmitting on an access/downlink to a user equipment (UE) or other child IAB node. The parent IAB node may then configure the IAB child node according to the determined switching time (e.g., by scheduling the IAB child node accordingly or setting one or more timing advance parameters).

    Abstract: A connection establishment procedure such as a handover or re-establishment procedure including a 2-step random access procedure may be completed within a defined time period. The defined time period may be measured from a handover command or a determination that a user equipment (UE) has lost a connection to a base station. The defined period of time may depend on one or both of a synchronization signal block (SSB) to random access channel (RACH) association period or a SSB to RACH association pattern period. The UE may receive a handover command from a serving cell. The UE may perform a handover in response to receiving the handover command or a re-establishment procedure in response to detecting the lost connection within the defined time period. One or more base stations may reserve resources for the connection establishment procedure during the defined time period.
