Abstract: A base station may configure a first threshold indicating maximum numbers of blind decodes (BDs) and non-overlapping control channel elements (CCEs) for physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) candidates on a primary cell (PCell)/primary secondary cell (PSCell), and transmit, for a user equipment (UE), a configuration for PDCCH candidates in common search spaces (CSSs) or user-specific search spaces (USSs) on the PCell/PSCell and USSs on a secondary cell (SCell) for PDCCH scheduling data for the PCell/PSCell. The base station may transmit at least one PDCCH in PDCCH candidates. The UE may receive the configuration and receive the PDCCH by blindly decoding the PDCCH candidates in in at least one of the CSSs or the USSs configured on the PCell/PSCell and the USSs configured on the Scell. The USSs configured on the PCell/PSCell may support PDCCH overbooking.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may monitor, using a first physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) monitoring behavior, for a first downlink control information (DCI) format that indicates a set of resources associated with at least one of a cross component carrier (CC) scheduling or a multiple CC scheduling associated with a first CC and a second CC. The UE may monitor, using a second PDCCH monitoring behavior based at least in part on a determination that a PDCCH monitoring behavior switch condition is satisfied, for a second DCI format. Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices for secondary cell activation using temporary reference signals and beam selection are provided. In one aspect, a method of wireless communication is performed by a UE and includes receiving, from a base station (BS) via a first cell, an activation command to activate a second cell different from the first cell. The method further includes receiving, from the BS via the second cell during a cell activation period, a first reference signal different from a synchronization signal block (SSB) based on beam information. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may be configured to satisfy an uplink transmission power criterion, such as a specific absorption rate (SAR). The UE may be scheduled to transmit a first uplink message via a first frequency band and a second uplink message via a second frequency band. The UE perform power scaling on the first frequency band and the second frequency band to satisfy the uplink transmission power criterion. For example, the UE may select a first transmission power level for transmitting the first uplink message and a second transmission power level for transmitting the second uplink message based on a function of UE transmission power level over a preceding time interval. The UE may perform uplink power aggregation techniques to temporarily boost transmit power while satisfying the uplink transmission power criterion.

The UE may generate a random access preamble based on the sets of preamble parameters according to the type of the UE. The base station may indicate a location of the base station to the UE. The UE may identify a location of the UE. The UE may determine a pre-compensation timing based on a distance from the two locations. The UE and the base station may transmit subsequent communication according to the random access preamble, the pre-compensation timing, or any combination thereof.

Abstract: Mechanisms for cross-carrier scheduling from a first cell to a second cell in a wireless networking scheme are provided. In one aspect, a method includes receiving, from a base station (BS), a first configuration for scheduling in a first cell having a first subcarrier spacing (SCS), wherein the first configuration is associated with a first search space in the first cell. The method further includes receiving, from the BS, a second configuration for scheduling in the first cell, wherein the second configuration is associated with a second search space in a second cell, and wherein the second cell is associated with a different second SCS. The method further includes determining a number of blind detections (BDs) based on at least one of the first SCS or the second SCS, and monitoring, based on the number of BDs, for downlink control information (DCI) in the first and second search spaces.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) and a network entity may pseudo-randomly generate frequency hopping indexes to support secure communication of sounding reference signals (SRSs). For example, the UE may securely obtain a key associated with communication a set of SRSs via respective portions of system bandwidth for communicating with the network entity. The UE and the network entity may generate a set of frequency hopping indexes using the key. The set of frequency hopping indexes may correspond to the set of SRSs, and each frequency hopping index may indicate a respective portion of the system bandwidth for communication of a corresponding SRS. The UE and the network entity may communicate the set of SRSs in accordance with the set of frequency hopping indexes.

Abstract: Aspects of this disclosure provide methods, devices and systems for concurrently transmitting control information and data information. In some more specific aspects, a base station may transmit one or more parameters to a user equipment (UE) that indicate to the UE to refrain from transmitting uplink control information together with uplink data information in an uplink data channel. Instead, the one or more parameters may configure the UE to transmit the uplink control information and the uplink data information using overlapping resources in different channels. In some more specific aspects, the UE may transmit the uplink control information in a slot of an uplink control channel and transmit the uplink data information in a slot of the uplink data channel that at least partially overlaps with the slot of the uplink control channel.
