    Abstract: A base station may configure a first threshold indicating maximum numbers of blind decodes (BDs) and non-overlapping control channel elements (CCEs) for physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) candidates on a primary cell (PCell)/primary secondary cell (PSCell), and transmit, for a user equipment (UE), a configuration for PDCCH candidates in common search spaces (CSSs) or user-specific search spaces (USSs) on the PCell/PSCell and USSs on a secondary cell (SCell) for PDCCH scheduling data for the PCell/PSCell. The base station may transmit at least one PDCCH in PDCCH candidates. The UE may receive the configuration and receive the PDCCH by blindly decoding the PDCCH candidates in in at least one of the CSSs or the USSs configured on the PCell/PSCell and the USSs configured on the Scell. The USSs configured on the PCell/PSCell may support PDCCH overbooking.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may be configured to satisfy an uplink transmission power criterion, such as a specific absorption rate (SAR). The UE may be scheduled to transmit a first uplink message via a first frequency band and a second uplink message via a second frequency band. The UE perform power scaling on the first frequency band and the second frequency band to satisfy the uplink transmission power criterion. For example, the UE may select a first transmission power level for transmitting the first uplink message and a second transmission power level for transmitting the second uplink message based on a function of UE transmission power level over a preceding time interval. The UE may perform uplink power aggregation techniques to temporarily boost transmit power while satisfying the uplink transmission power criterion.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may communicate with a base station in a wireless communications system. The UE may perform a random access procedure to communicate with the base station. The base station may configure the UE with different sets of preamble parameters for different types of UEs. The UE may generate a random access preamble based on the sets of preamble parameters according to the type of the UE. The base station may indicate a location of the base station to the UE. The UE may identify a location of the UE. The UE may determine a pre-compensation timing based on a distance from the two locations. The UE and the base station may transmit subsequent communication according to the random access preamble, the pre-compensation timing, or any combination thereof.

    Abstract: Aspects of this disclosure provide methods, devices and systems for concurrently transmitting control information and data information. In some more specific aspects, a base station may transmit one or more parameters to a user equipment (UE) that indicate to the UE to refrain from transmitting uplink control information together with uplink data information in an uplink data channel. Instead, the one or more parameters may configure the UE to transmit the uplink control information and the uplink data information using overlapping resources in different channels. In some more specific aspects, the UE may transmit the uplink control information in a slot of an uplink control channel and transmit the uplink data information in a slot of the uplink data channel that at least partially overlaps with the slot of the uplink control channel.

    Abstract: Mechanisms for cross-carrier scheduling from a first cell to a second cell in a wireless networking scheme are provided. In one aspect, a method for wireless communication includes: receiving, from a base station (BS), a first configuration for scheduling in a first cell, the first configuration comprising at least one of a first monitoring periodicity parameter or a first monitoring offset parameter associated with a search space in a second cell different than the first cell; receiving, from the BS, a second configuration for scheduling in the second cell, the second configuration comprising at least one of a different second monitoring periodicity parameter or a different second monitoring offset parameter associated with the search space in the second cell; and monitoring, in the search space in the second cell based on the first configuration and the second configuration, for downlink control information (DCI).
