Abstract:
A system for recommending feeds for a user comprises a client with a web browser, an application server, and a content server. The browser tracks the user's browsing activity and transmits user data related to the user's browsing activity to the application server. The application server searches the content server to determine feeds that may be relevant to the user's browsing activity and then communicates those feeds to the browser. The browser displays the received feeds to the user as feed recommendations, prompting the user to select from among the recommended feeds. Once the user has selected one or more feeds, the browser transmits the user's selection to the application server, which enables the feeds to be presented subsequently to the user. In this way, the system uses the user's browsing activity to obtain automatically for a user feeds that are likely to be relevant to the user.
Abstract:
In one embodiment, a request identifying a first Uniform Resource Locator (URL) may be received. It may be ascertained whether a launch time associated with the first URL has been attained. An Edge Side Includes (ESI) response may be automatically provided according to a result of the ascertaining, wherein the ESI response includes instructions to fetch a web page associated with the first URL from an origin server.
Abstract:
Embodiments are directed towards clustering cookies for identifying unique mobile devices for associating activities over a network with a given mobile device. The cookies are clustered based on a Bayes Factor similarity model that is trained from cookie features of known mobile devices. The clusters may be used to determine the number of unique mobile devices that access a website. The clusters may also be used to provide targeted content to each unique mobile device.
Abstract:
Methods and systems for providing content on a webpage includes rendering a webpage having a plurality of page areas. Each of the plurality of page areas is associated with an entity having display content. Selection of one of the plurality of page areas is detected. The selection causes a landing page to be rendered in place of the webpage. A return to the webpage from the landing page is detected. In response to the return, the selected page area of the webpage is modified to include at least one additional entity having associated display content.
Abstract:
A system and method that receives, over a network (e.g., from a client device), an audio clip associated with a portion of a media program, determines, based on the audio clip, that the media program is a specific media program, determines a product associated with a segment of the specific media program, determines a keyword associated with the product, submits the keyword to an advertisement platform for use in a keyword auction, receives an advertisement from the advertisement platform, and communicates the advertisement to a client device at a predetermined time.
Abstract:
A server cooling device is described that includes an enclosure defining an interior space and at least one server rack port configured to engage a rack such that one or more rack mounted units installed in the rack interface with the interior space. The server cooling device also includes a mixing chamber including one or more cooling coils that is connected to the interior space defined by the enclosure.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed towards systems and methods for indexing one or more items of content. The method of the present invention comprises extracting one or more items of text from a given item of content. The one or more items of extracted text are tokenized into one or more concepts. One or more related concepts associated with the one or more concepts are identified. A support score is generated for the one or more concepts, and the item of content is index with the one or more concepts and the one or more associated support scores.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a system and method for gesture-based content-object rendering. The present disclosure provides for optimized display of a high-resolution image upon receiving input, such as a spread gesture, from a user respective of a displayed low-resolution image. The low-resolution and high-resolution image are subdivided into content objects or blocks and stored in a content database. Upon receiving the user input, the input areas respective of the image is identified, and the high-resolution image block is displayed. Subsequently, adjacent blocks corresponding to the input area are then displayed to effectuate an efficient download of the high-resolution image.
Abstract:
Method and system for document update are provided. Information related to document update in the database is obtained. A stochastic model is generated based on the obtained information. An update sequence is determined based on the stochastic model. The update sequence indicates at least one document that needs to be updated in a time slot. One or more documents are retrieved from the database based on the update sequence. The retrieved one or more documents are updated in the time slot.
Abstract:
In one embodiment, a set of tags that has been generated by performing computer vision analysis of image content of a visual media item may be obtained, where each tag of the set of tags has a corresponding probability. In addition, a set of information that is independent from the image content of the visual media item may be obtained. The probability of at least a portion of the set of tags may be modified based, at least in part, upon the set of information.
