    Abstract: The present invention relates to a wireless communication system, and specifically, provides a communication method and a device therefor, the communication method comprising: transmitting, to a terminal, an uplink grant comprising first information for changing a timing advance (TA) value; receiving, from the terminal, a first uplink signal which is based on the first information; and receiving a first downlink signal from a base station, wherein the transmission timing of the first uplink signal from the terminal is determined on the basis of the first information so that the first uplink signal and the first downlink signal may be received simultaneously at a relay node.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for transmitting a control channel to a machine-type communication (MTC) user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system is provided. A base station (BS) configures a period of a control channel by using a first set of subframes which can be used for a MTC UE and a second set of subframes which cannot be used for the MTC UE, and transmits the control channel to the MTC UE in the first set of subframes within the period. A user equipment (UE) derives a starting subframe of the control channel among starting subframe sets of the control channel within the period of the control channel, and monitors the control channel from the starting subframe of the control channel.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for allocating resources for a machine type communication user equipment (MTC UE) in a wireless communication system is provided. A base station indicates a transport block size (TBS) directly, adapts a code rate according to repetition numbers across multiple subframes in a MTC physical downlink shared channel (M-PDSCH) for the MTC UE, and allocates resources for the M-PDSCH by using the indicated transport block size and the adapted code rate. The TBS may be determined based on a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) only.
