Abstract: A tent structure with an improved ventilation system includes a pole assembly, a lower section defined by a plurality of walls and a floor, and an upper section having an inner layer and an outer layer. The inner layer includes a first set of openings covered by an air permeable material. A perimeter of the inner layer is fixedly attached to a top portion of the lower section to form an enclosure. The outer layer is disposed above the inner layer and a second set of openings is formed between a perimeter of the outer layer and the top portion of the lower section. A first set of connecting members connects the inner and outer layers, and forms a space therebetween. A second set of connecting members connects the outer layer and the pole assembly.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a self supporting tensile tent structure and methods for use of such a structure. According to one embodiment, structure includes six component panels positioned above ground surface: a roof, a bathtub bottom positioned below the roof component, a pair of side panels and front and back panels all vertically oriented and attached to the roof by a top edge and further attached to the bathtub bottom by a bottom edge; a pair of reinforced corners at the end of the tensile tent anchors structure to the ground surface; a supporting member to create loft for the tensile tent toward the front of the structure by elevating the roof component above the ground surface; a second pair of reinforced corners anchors the front of the tensile tent to the ground surface and induces tension to the roof when erected. Abstract: An outdoor canopy includes a canopy frame, a canopy shelter and a side entrance arrangement. The canopy frame includes a roof frame and a legs frame downwardly extended from the roof frame to form a canopy area. Abstract: A ventilator for a covering for a boat or other object includes a dome for covering air venting openings. The air vents are provided in a pair of oppositely disposed ventilator plates. The boat or other covering is firmly clamped between the ventilator plates by means of a nut that can be tightened by hand. The venting openings are disposed one above the other with no obstructions therebetween in order to allow for direct air transfer between the inside and the outside of the cover while preventing weather elements from entering the cover.

Abstract: A lightweight, portable shelter structure is provided having an aerodynamically stable configuration which is particularly resistant to wind loads. The stability of the shelter structure results from the construction of the canopy portion wall panels and their interaction with the rod members of the shelter. The canopy portion is formed of an elastic material so that the base of the canopy panel may be stretched to tension the rod members, which are formed of a resilient, flexible material. In a preferred embodiment, the canopy panel has a triangular configuration, and the rod member is secured at the base and at the apex of the triangle so that when the base is stretched, compressive forces are exerted on the rod member causing it to bow. The canopy of the present shelter structure includes at least two panels of this construction and the shelter further includes a loose, expandable floor portion attached to the canopy portion. An arrangement of ventilating structures creates air flow through the shelter and effectively reduces condensation. The stressed wall panel of the present invention may also be used in other applications where an aerodynamically stable, stressed panel is required.
