摘要: Aspects of the disclosure relate to admission control of a communication session in a network. The admission control can be implemented by a network node at the boundary of the network or a subsystem thereof. In one aspect, the admission control can be implemented during a predetermined period and can be based at least on an admission criterion, which can be specific to an end-point device, e.g., a target device or an origination device. The admission criterion can be configurable and, in certain implementations, it can be obtained from historical performance associated with establishment of communication session. Such historical performance can be assessed within a period of a configurable span.

摘要: A UE activates a PS Data Off service to block downlink and uplink services except the exempted services determined by the HPLMN. To activate PS Data Off, the UE sends an indication to the MME or SGSN, or additionally to a S-CSCF or an IMS network. The UE may receive a confirmation of the PS Data Off activation and/or a list of exempt services. The MME may contact the HSS to notify about the activation of the PS Data Off and receive indication of support of the service or list of exempted services and send the indication and/or packet filtering per PDN to PDN GW(s). The PDN GW may contact a PCRF to get policy rules. The HSS may provide a list of exempt services to the S-CSCF.

摘要: A system is presented that includes secure push-to-talk voice functionality. Using encryption, authentication, user filtering, and integration with new and existing LMR systems, a secure voice platform ensures malicious software, unauthorized access and brute force security attacks will not compromise the voice communications of the system. The VoIP system is engineered to ensure graceful system degradation in the event of maintenance activities, natural disasters and failure modes. The hardened VoIP system offers the functions a LMR trunking system while utilizing broadband connections. Private calls, group calls, Emergency Alarms with covert monitoring capability, scanning and priority scanning may be incorporated into the system. The system includes a VoIP-controller that serves as a trunking controller, manages available VoIP-based conference bridges, and assigns them as needed to the parties involved in each voice call. The system includes multiple fallback methods that may be prioritized based on pre-failure analytics.

摘要: A voice call method includes in a case that UE accesses a first network, receiving a registration reception message sent by a first network side device corresponding to a first network; based on the registration reception message, in a case that a predetermined condition is met, stopping using the first network and connecting to a second network; and sending a voice call request to a second network side device corresponding to the second network. The voice call request is used to request the second network side device to process a voice call service. The predetermined condition includes that the registration accept message carries a first identifier indicating that the UE does not support an IMS service; or the registration accept message carries a second identifier indicating that the UE supports an IMS service, and the UE confirms that registration of the IMS service to the first network side device fails.

摘要: Techniques and systems for recovering a communication session from a dedicated bearer failure are disclosed. For example, a P-CSCF node can determine that a dedicated bearer associated with a communication session has failed, and, in response, send a SIP message to a UE associated with the communication session, the SIP message causing the UE to refrain from sending SIP requests using a SIP INVITE method. The process may further include identifying a first network node associated with an identifier of the UE, the first network node comprising one of a PGW or a SMF, and sending an instruction to the first network node to dissociate the dedicated bearer from the communication session. This causes a new attach procedure to be performed by the UE to recover the session without session failure.
