摘要:
Wetting device and method with water-alcohol mixture in offset printing, wherein three rollers 4,5,6 are provided as associated with the plate holder cylinder 1, the inking roller unit and the vibrating unit 2, of which the solution is supplied on the first resilient roller 4, the second of which 5 is a hydrophile chromium plated roller acting as a transfer roller and the third of which 6, similarly resilient and separable from the first other two rollers 4,5 performs the function of solution metering roller directly on at least one vibrating roller 7, as well as on the vibrating battery 2, the solution being then transferred to the plate on the cylinder 1.

A method of automatically controlling deviations in the liquid ink and dampening liquid feed in an offset printing press includes irradiating a layer formed of liquid ink and ingredients of a dampening liquid deposited on a plate cylinder of the press with at least one source of radiation, selectively interposing, in the radiation path between the radiation source and the irradiated liquid layer, wave length absorption filters, selecting certain wavelengths most heavily absorbed by at least one of the liquids, comparing measured values for the ink layer and the individual ingredients of the dampening liquid with a given nominal value and, in accordance with a quantitative deviation between the measured and the nominal values, automatically actuating a control circuit for regulating the feed of the liquid ink and the dampening liquid; and a device for carrying out the foregoing method.
摘要:
A wetting mechanism for transferring liquid from a supply roll which is immersed in a liquid reservoir to a lifting roll. The supply roll and the lifting roll are peripherally engaged. The axes of the rolls are in a common plane. The supply roll is mounted on a support plate and both are pivoted about a center pivot. The pivotal movement is caused by moving a lever which is connected to a cam which engages a camming surface on the support plate.
摘要:
An electrospray apparatus and a method of operating the electrospray apparatus can include an array of emitters that can emit a fog of charged droplets, wherein the charged droplets can be produced in a carrier gas by the array of emitters and directed into a development zone of a charge image. Each emitter among the array of emitters can be implemented as a cone-shaped emitter. The array of emitters can be implemented as a cone jet electrospray micro-array that can produce a high liquid concentration of the charged droplets in the carrier gas. The charged droplets can comprise charged fountain solution droplets, and the charge image can be a fountain solution image that can be transferrable to a blanket for control and subsequent ink transfer to a receiving medium.
