摘要: A modular trench drain system with sloping overlay rails. A non-sloping section of trench drain is transformed into a sloping trench drain by installing sloping overlay rails. The overlay rails rest on the top of the upper edge of the sidewalls and may have a ledge which allows grating, which spans across the channel, to rest on top. The modular channel sections may be held together and in place by a channel bracket with holes for accepting support rods which further secure the channels in place before and after the concrete has been poured and cured around the channels.

摘要: A self-cleaning flooring system for catching waste products has at least one module comprising a drain pan and a floor grid. The drain pan has a ramp and a central drain outlet. The ramp extends around the drain pan defining a drain pan periphery. The ramp slopes downward from the drain pan periphery towards the drain outlet. The drain pan periphery has a plurality of discharge ports spaced therealong for discharge of flushing fluid onto the ramp such that the waste products are washed down the ramp towards the drain outlet. The floor grid extends across the drain pan and is mounted upon the drain pan periphery for supporting personnel standing thereon while permitting waste products to pass therethrough. The module is interconnectable to horizontally adjacent modules to form the flooring system,

摘要: A system and method for forming concrete tiles for use in concrete walkways and concrete patios and courtyards. The system includes a unitary frame with two or more slanted sidewalls with a plurality of pickup points placed within an interior opening of the unitary frame. Concrete poured into the interior opening of the frame forms a beveled or slanted concrete sidewalk tile. The pickup points are buried in the beveled concrete sidewalk tiles. When an opening in the pickup points is uncovered, a means to pick and place the beveled concrete sidewalk tiles is provided. Slanted or beveled sidewalls prevent binding to or interference with adjacent slanted or beveled sidewalk tiles to facilitate lifting.

摘要: A method for shaping concrete blocks and/or concrete slabs of various formats and sizes. The shaping taking place in concrete-filled molds with or without additional facing concrete. Dies or matrices corresponding to the block surface or slab surface have recesses or projections for impressing the surfaces. The concrete blocks or concrete slabs are then removed from the molds before setting and are cured externally and the surfaces are further worked in a subsequent operation. The recesses formed are grooves having parallel, oblique, planar or curved walls and/or roots and the projections being tooth strips having parallel, oblique, planar or curved walls and/or tips. The grooves and/or tooth strips extend over the entire surface of the dies and consequently over the entire surface of the concrete blocks or concrete slabs. In a subsequent operation the surfaces are blasted with liquids or solids. A final step may include application of a coating containing acrylate resin.

摘要: A joint stabilizing apparatus having an expandable cylindrical housing is inserted into a circular hole drilled at a “loose joint” of a concrete slab that is to be stabilized against relative vertical displacement between adjacent slab sections. The hole is drilled downward into the concrete, centered on the plane of a lateral opening/joint in the concrete slab. The expandable housing comprises two rigid semi-circular housing halves, and the assembly is oriented inside of the circular hole such that the two housing halves are on opposite sides of the centerline of the lateral opening/joint. The housing halves are pushed apart by turning of a threaded bolt inside of the housing. Turning of the bolt causes two bi-laterally symmetric wedge blocks to draw towards each other, and pressing the bearing surfaces of the wedge blocks against inclined surfaces inside of the respective housing halves. As the housing halves are pushed apart, the outside surfaces of the expandable housing engage the walls of the drilled hole and apply opposing horizontal compressive forces to the slab sections. Friction between the expandable housing and the concrete slab sections prevent the slab sections from vertically moving relative to each other. In other embodiments of the invention, the joint stabilizing apparatus is used to prevent relative motion between non-horizontal construction members, and between four adjacent slab sections separated by intersecting loose joints.

摘要: A drainage channel for embedding in a surface is disclosed. In order to ensure reliable run-off of the water even in the region remote from the outlet, the inclination of the conduit base relative to the top edge is increased in this region compared with the region close to the outlet. The channel is preferably composed of a plurality of channel bodies. In order to permit simple installation of the channel, the outer base of each channel body preferably runs parallel to its top edge.
