    摘要: A method and system provide the ability to design a (land) surface. A triangular surface mesh representative of an existing surface is obtained. The mesh includes triangles that are connected by vertices and edges. Design constraint sets are determined based design constraints. The design constraints include a maximum slope constraint for a first triangle of the two or more triangles in the triangular surface mesh. The maximum slope constraint is a maximum angle between a normal vector of the first triangle and a reference vector. Heights of the vertices of the first triangle are projected onto the design constraint sets such that the normal vector satisfies all of the design constraints. The projecting includes modifying the heights by a minimum Euclidian distance. A design of the surface represented by the triangular surface mesh is generated based on the projecting.

    摘要: A one piece shower drain pan, encapsulated in a water proof membrane, and the method of fabricating the one piece open drain shower pan, the method which includes providing extruded polystyrene (XPS) foam of the type which absorbs very little water; shaping the section of extruded polystyrene foam with a CNC router to obtain the desired slope in the floor; cutting a hole in the foam to produce the drain hole; cutting a curb from the XPS foam and gluing the foam to a pan base on the open sides. Splash walls are then cut from concrete wall board and glued to the sides having no curb, so that the glue serves as a bonding agent and provides a waterproof seal between the parts; after the glue has cured, spraying the entire pan assembly with a polyurethane or polyurea coating to completely encapsulate the entire pan with a waterproof membrane, which provides strength and rigidity and defines a one piece drain pan ready for installation.

    摘要: A system and method for forming concrete tiles for use in concrete walkways and concrete patios and courtyards. The system includes a unitary frame with two or more slanted sidewalls with a plurality of pickup points placed within an interior opening of the unitary frame. Concrete poured into the interior opening of the frame forms a beveled or slanted concrete sidewalk tile. The pickup points are buried in the beveled concrete sidewalk tiles. When an opening in the pickup points is uncovered, a means to pick and place the beveled concrete sidewalk tiles is provided. Slanted or beveled sidewalls prevent binding to or interference with adjacent slanted or beveled sidewalk tiles to facilitate lifting.

    摘要: An elongate linear drain for a shower includes an elongate, channel-shaped drain body, an elongate, channel-shaped extension that is connectable to either end of the drain body, elongate inserts that are nested within the drain body and the extension, and end walls that cap the ends of the drain body and the ends of the extension. Mounting members are formed along an outboard side of each sidewall of the drain body and the extensions and the mounting members are engaged by float sticks to facilitate the sloping of the floor that leads to the linear drain. Height adjustment screws formed in the respective bottom walls of the drain body and extensions enable height adjustment of the inserts. This enables the tile that overlies the shower floor to be flush with the tile that overlies the insert.

An apertured grill or cover plate assembly (36) is mounted in the channels and serves as a cover for the various channels. The shower pan (10) is typically installed so that a sill surface (50) is at the same elevation as the pre-existing floor (52) to provide an entry that does not have any type of 'trip' points or obstructions that could pose a hazard to the user or impede assistive aids, such as walkers or wheeled chairs.

    摘要: A trench drain system and method of installation thereof on a level floor surface. An elongate channel member is placed on the floor surface. A preformed elongate sloping member having a thick end tapering to a thin end in inserted into the channel with its thin end closest to the channel drain opening, thereby forming an inclined sloping surface. A grate extends over the channel inlet. The area adjacent the channel is filled to the height of the channel, whereby water thereon flows through the grate into the channel, along the inclined surface and out through the drain opening. The channel can be placed adjacent a vertical wall whereby wall tile may be installed over a channel top edge. The floor area adjacent the channel is filled with preformed sloping sheet members or with plastically formable material positioned at an incline using a floor height setting post.
