Abstract:
A multifunction peripheral includes: a facsimile communication section, an image memory, a job management section, a transfer instruction reception section, a password creation section, a data transfer control section, and a delete instruction reception section. When the delete instruction reception section has received a delete instruction, the job management section compares a password indicated by the delete instruction with a password created in correspondence with facsimile data of a fax job targeted for deletion by the delete instruction, and deletes the fax job indicated by the delete instruction under condition that the passwords agree with each other.
Abstract:
In an Internet facsimile apparatus, it is an object of the invention to provide means for notifying the user of details of a message disposition notification situation (MDN) of a transmission image. When E-mail data is sent, an MDN for E-mail to be sent is requested and communication management information of the sent E-mail is updated on the basis of a reception result of reply E-mail responsive to the MDN request.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus and a method of sending email therein. The method includes generating a scan image by scanning a document to be sent to an email address via an email; generating a job ID mapped to information included in the email and the generated scan image; sending the email including the job ID and the generated scan image via a mail server; and when the email is returned, resending the email by reading out the scan image and the information included in the email mapped to the job ID according to a user inputting the job ID included in the returned email.
Abstract:
An information processing apparatus comprises: an acquisition unit configured to acquire different types of job tickets depending on a type of application used for creation; a storage unit configured to store control information which defines an execution condition of a job ticket, wherein the execution condition defined in the control information includes at least one of first information indicating an application which has created a job ticket, and second information indicating an instruction content of the job ticket; a determination unit configured to determine, based on the execution condition represented by the control information, whether the job ticket can be executed; a display control unit configured to display job tickets which are determined by the determination unit to be executable; and an execution control unit configured to execute a job defined in a job ticket selected by a user from job tickets displayed by the display control unit.
Abstract:
Methods and systems for improving a photography business are disclosed, comprising, in an embodiment, taking a photograph of a coded component together with a series of photographs for the client. The coded component comprises human-readable information and is provided to the client for access to the photographs. The coded component also comprises machine-readable information, enabling a server to sort the photographs to the corresponding jobs without operator intervention. The coded component can also comprise a fillable option field to identify that the photographs associated with the coded component are to be specially treated according to a desired selection.
Abstract:
A plurality of received documents is stored, and a plurality of documents transmitted from the same transmitting source as an identified document is selected from the stored plurality of documents. A screen is then provided which allows information on the plurality of documents that have been selected, to be collectively registered.
Abstract:
A job processing apparatus which processes job data in cooperation with another job processing apparatus is provided. The job processing apparatus comprises an analysis unit configured to analyze a processing status of predetermined job data, and a determination unit configured to determine, in accordance with the analyzed processing status, whether the job processing apparatus has an operation authority to the job data. The job processing apparatus also comprises a prohibition unit configured to prohibit an operation of the job data when the job processing apparatus is determined not to have the operation authority.
Abstract:
An approach is provided for implementing locked printing on a printing device with unlock via a keypad attached to the printing device via an interface. A user may specify for printing print jobs stored at a printing device using a keypad device to enter a job ID associated with a particular print job or a general ID associated with users to release all print jobs associated with a particular user, all print jobs not yet printed, or all print jobs. Print jobs may alternatively be identified by date. The approach may also include a user viewing a list of available locked print jobs on a user interface of the printing device, along with the associated job IDs. The approach may further include the use of a Web server on the printing device to generate and provide a Web page that lists stored print jobs and their associated job IDs.
Abstract:
A user interface which makes it possible to easily and more accurately configure a user mode. The user interface has an application mode configuration screen for configuring settings for an application mode when executing a job and a user mode configuration screen for configuring settings for a user mode before executing the job. When the user mode configuration screen is to be displayed, it is determined whether or not the application mode configuration screen is being displayed. When it is determined that the application mode configuration screen is being displayed, a liquid crystal display displays user mode items related to settings to be configured for the application mode on the application mode configuration screen being displayed.
