    Abstract: A device for reducing a magnetic unidirectional flux component in the core of a three-phase transformer includes at least one compensation winding, which is magnetically coupled to the core of the three-phase transformer, a switch arranged electrically in a current path in series with the at least one compensation winding to feed current into the winding, where the effect of the current is directed opposite to the unidirectional flux component, and an apparatus for limiting current arranged electrically in a current path in series with the at least one compensation winding, and where two compensation windings are provided on different legs of the core of the three-phase transformer such that a greater reduction of the magnetic unidirectional flux component is achieved.

    Abstract: A multi-phase autotransformer (10) is disclosed. The exemplary transformer includes primary windings PWA, PWB, PWC) and secondary windings (SWA1-SWA4, SWB1-SWB4, SWC1-SWC4). The primary windings are connected in a delta configuration and to a three-phase input voltage source. Each secondary winding is electrically connected to a primary winding but is magnetically coupled to a different primary winding. Three sets of secondary windings provide three three-phase outputs (350A, 350B, 350C), each of which has a voltage which is less than the three-phase input voltage, the three-phase output of each set being phase-shifted with respect to the other sets. These three sets also, collectively, provide a multi-phase output (325). Another set of secondary windings, in conjunction with the input voltage, provides another multi-phase phase output (360) which has approximately the same voltage as the three-phase input voltage.

    Abstract: Exemplary embodiments include a fluid insulated high voltage coil having closed tank for an insulation fluid and a high voltage coil arranged therein with at least two taps. An insulation tube extends into the tank, where the inner part of the tube is accessible from an outer side of the tank. Electric contact elements extend through the tube walls along its longitudinal axis, where at least some of the contact elements are electrically connected with the taps. A removable column-like electrical interaction device is arranged within the inner part of the insulation tube, which is electrically connected to the at least two taps by means of the contact elements.

    Abstract: This new type of transformer comprises a ferromagnetic drum-type core characterized in that the drum core has a plurality of holes or windows parallel to the drum longitudinal shaft to place the windings being the windows arranged close to the periphery of the drum symmetrically distributed at 360° of the circumference, each winding being parallel to the longitudinal shaft of the drum and each one of the windings crossing said longitudinal shaft. The core comprises two main components: a central body and an air gap filling system. The central body is formed by a plurality of silicon steel sheets, stacked one over the other, each of them has slots or spaces on its periphery thereof to place the windings and with an air gap filling system. Said filling system can be: wedge-shaped sheets, set of sheets extending parallel to the shaft of the core or a metal sheet wound around the central body.
