    摘要： The present invention relates to materials, methods and apparatuses for performing imprint lithography using amorphous metallic materials. The amorphous metallic materials can be employed as imprint media and thermoplastic forming processes are applied during the pattern transfer procedure to produce micron scale and nanoscale patterns in the amorphous metallic layer. The pattern transfer is in the form of direct mask embossing or through a serial nano-indentation process. A rewriting process is also disclosed, which involves an erasing mechanism that is accomplished by means of a second thermoplastic forming process. The amorphous metallic materials may also be used directly as an embossing mold in imprint lithography to allow high volume imprint nano-manufacturing. This invention also comprises of a method of smoothening surfaces under the action of the surface tension alone.

    摘要： A player for a multi-aroma cartridge constituted by a planar array of like frame assemblies held within a multi-section framework, each assembly being formed by a pad of absorbent material sandwiched between a pair of frames whose margins are joined together to define a central zone exposing the pad. The pad of each assembly is impregnated with a liquid fragrance that differs from those of the others. When the cartridge is inserted in a slot in the player case, it lies over a complementary honeycomb, each of whose cells is then in registration with a respective assembly. The cells are provided with individual electric heaters such that when a selected cell heater is energized, it heats the air in the cell to produce a positive pressure therein that acts to force the heated air through the zone to volatilize the liquid fragrance, the resultant aromatic vapor being discharged into the atmosphere through vents in the case. The selection of aromas to be played may be effected manually or it may be synchronized to follow the scenes of a video tape or movie film presentation.

    摘要： Phonograph record molding compositions having polystyrene as the major constituent are formulated to have wear resistance properties superior to other polystyrene injection molded compositions while generally retaining the transparency of unmodified polystryene. Ethylene-bis-stearamide or a homolog or analog thereof is dissolved within styrene monomer and then the monomer is polymerized to obtain a polystryene matrix having a molecular distribution of ethylene-bis-stearamide or the like within and throughout the matrix. Preferably, the ethylene-bis-stearamide or the like is combined with a wax such as an olefin-based wax or a microcrystalline wax.
