Abstract: An image capture device detects a wind whistle using two or more microphones. The image capture device includes a processor that obtains microphone signals from the two or more microphones and measures coherence values between the microphone signals across a frequency band. The frequency band includes frequency bins, and the processor measures a coherence value for each frequency bin. Based on a detection of an elevated coherence value in a frequency bin, the processor determines the presence of a whistle. The processor attenuates the frequency bin based on a determination that the elevated coherence value is above a threshold.

Abstract: A quiet toilet apparatus disclosed. Microphones and circuitry are used to receive and detect one or more virtual point source locations and propagation directions of unwanted toilet noise. Speakers are used to create one or more synthesized wave fronts resulting in cancelation and reduction of unwanted toilet noise. The speakers, microphones and circuitry may be located within a toilet seat of a toilet or at a remote location. A user device or remote device may be connected to the noise reduction toilet apparatus for data recording, collection, reporting, and electronic noise filtering.

Active noise sound waves (310) are radiated into an area (313) where the food waste disposer noise is to be controlled at an amplitude and frequency to at least cancel or mask the food waste disposer noise.

Abstract: A silencer is to be used in combination with a range hood system to suppress noise made by a fan. In a silencing circuit, a disturbance detector detects mixing of disturbance sound to a correction signal and an error signal. When the disturbance detector detects the mixing of the disturbance sound, an updating stopper causes a coefficient updater to stop a processing of updating a filter coefficient of a silencer filter, relating to, as an object, at least a frequency band other than a frequency band of the noise.

Abstract: An active noise control apparatus and an active noise control system for reducing noise using an active vibrator, such that edges β of the vibrator (i.e. genesis locations of a bending moment of force caused by the vibrator) agree with positions α on a distribution of the bending moment of force caused by noise vibration of a panel, and such that the edges β of the vibrator are aligned with the positions α on the panel where a sign, of the distribution of the bending moment of force over the panel caused by the noise vibration, reverses. As a result, a control vibration approximate to the noise vibration can be excited. Accordingly, when the vibrator is fixed by agreeing the edges β of the vibrator with the positions α determined by noise frequency desired to be reduced, noise due to a target noise frequency can be effectively reduced.

Abstract: Provided are a signal processing device, a program, a range hood device, and a selection method for frequency bins in a signal processing device with which it is possible to reduce the load on computation processing for computing filter coefficients and provide an excellent muting effect even when there are a peak band and a notch band in transmission characteristics from a speaker to an error microphone. A parameter setter sets an update parameter μ such that a filter coefficient W is corrected, only for a first frequency bin that corresponds to a frequency band of a first noise and a second frequency bin that corresponds to a frequency band of a second noise.
