摘要： The invention relates to an arrangement arranged to introduce a three-dimensional structure in a paper during production of said paper in a paper making machine (1). The arrangement comprises a heat roll (14) arranged to dry a wet paper web and an extended nip roll (12) arranged to form a transfer nip (TN) with said heat roll (14). The extended nip roll (12) is provided with a flexible jacket (17) arranged around the circumferential area of said extended nip roll (12). An external surface of said flexible jacket (17) is provided with a textured portion (15) and when the wet paper web passes the transfer nip between said extended nip roll (12) and said heat roll (14), said textured portion (15) of the external surface of the flexible jacket (17) will impart a three-dimensional texture to the paper web.

摘要： A shoe press belt capable of preventing the occurrence and growth of cracks therein and is used in a paper-making press apparatus containing a press roll, a belt, and a pressure shoe for pressing a material web, wherein the shoe press belt includes a reinforcing layer, a first elastic material layer, and a second elastic material layer. A plurality of grooves are formed at an exterior peripheral surface region of the first elastic material layer. The bottom of the grooves at an axial end region of the belt corresponding to at least one of an end-proximate region in an axial direction of the pressure shoe and an end-proximate region in an axial direction of the press roll extends toward the reinforcing layer relative to the bottom of the grooves at a region other than the end region.

摘要： The present invention is a grooved belt, or surface roll where applicable, and a method for making these belts or rolls, comprising placing a chemically reactive material on a partially completed belt surface, and depositing an elastomeric material onto the chemically reactive material which reacts and forms a bond therewith to create a pattern. Placement of the elastomeric material is used to create the grooves, for example. The grooves are formed without machining and the resulting belt surface is smooth and uniform without cuts or cracks.

摘要： A press roll in a paper making machine comprises a non-perforated inner frame onto which an elastic layered structure is applied, the layered structure including an inner layer having a volume of which a substantial portion is constituted by cavities and an outer layer adapted to act against the inner surface of a looped press felt which passes through the press nip, the outer layer having passages formed therethrough which communicate with the cavities of the inner layer. During operation, the cavities are compressed together and thereby widen or extend the nip zone and, additionally, the cavities act as suction devices to produce a negative pressure in the nip zone following the centerline thereof. A press is disclosed which is formed by the press roll described above and a counter-roll which is provided with an elastic coating and a hollow face. A pair of press felts pass through the nip zone formed by these rolls between which the web to be dewatered is passed.
