    Abstract: A device may include a processor configured to maintain a plurality of session management entities (SMEs) for a core network associated with a radio access network (RAN). The processor may be further configured to establish a communication session using a first SME, of the plurality of SMEs; store session data for the communication session in a communication session database accessible by each of the plurality of SMEs; receive, using a second SME of the plurality of SMEs, a message associated with the communication session; retrieve, using the second SME, session data for the communication session from the communication session database, based on receiving the message; and process, using the second SME, the message using the retrieved session data.

    Abstract: An edge network gateway, located in an edge network and connected to a core network, receives packets for a local breakout (LBO) Protocol Data Unit (PDU) session associated with a mobile subscriber. The edge network gateway sends, based on receipt of the packets for the LBO PDU session, a request for charging to a core network node, and forwards the packets for the LBO PDU session to a network or multi-access edge computing (MEC) data center connected to the edge network. The edge network gateway sends, via an online charging interface, charging data counts for the packets of the LBO PDU session to the core network node for reporting to an Online Charging System and charging to the mobile subscriber.

    Abstract: A device may configure a centralized performance indicator data store for a plurality of network function devices included in a telecommunications system. The centralized performance indicator data store may be accessible by the plurality of network function devices on a management bus of the telecommunications system via a service-based interface. The device may subscribe the centralized performance indicator data store to a message class associated with performance indicator data that is generated by the plurality of network function devices. The device may receive, from the plurality of network function devices, one or more published communications associated with the message class.     Abstract: A system described herein may receive a communication session request associated with a particular User Equipment (“UE”) and a network that includes a plurality of network slices. The communication session request may include a particular identifier, such as a Data Network Name (“DNN”) or other type of identifier. The system may output a request for network slice information, wherein the request includes the particular identifier; and may receive network slice information that indicates multiple network slices that were selected based on the particular identifier. A Unified Data Management function (“UDM”), Unified Data Repository (“UDR”), and/or other element of the network may provide such information. The system may identify network slice priority information that indicates relative priorities of the network slices, may select a particular network slice based on the network slice priority information, and may respond to the communication session request in accordance with the selected first network slice.

    Abstract: Systems and methods described herein provide binding support function (BSF) service registration and discovery for environments using oversubscribed network addresses. A network device in a core network receives a registration request from a binding support device. The registration request includes a binding group identifier associated with the binding support device. The network device stores, based on the registration request, a profile for the binding support device that includes the binding group identifier and receives, from a policy control device, a discovery request for a that includes a unique identifier of user equipment (UE) device. The network device provides, to the policy control device, a response to the discovery request that identifies the binding support device.
