Abstract:
A system may be configured to allow for storage of location information regarding a set of user devices. The location information may be updated relatively frequently, and without introducing additional traffic into a wireless telecommunications network associated with the user devices. The location information may be made available to internal devices associated with the wireless telecommunications network and/or to external third party devices (such as banks, payment card processors, or advertisers) with user consent. Since the information is obtained and stored prior to requests, the location information may be provided, in response to requests, relatively quickly.
Abstract:
A method includes receiving, at a distribution management device, a request for a content item from a requesting local device. The distribution management device is at a first level of a content distribution architecture, the requesting local device is one of a plurality of local devices at a second level and each local device serves a plurality of sub devices at a third level. A determination whether the requested content item is available from the distribution management device is made. At least one other local device that has the requested content item is identified if the requested content item is not available. A minimum routing cost local device for the requested content to the requesting local device is determined based on the identified at least one other local device. A request for the requested content is sent to the identified minimum routing cost local device.
Abstract:
A first mobility management entity (MME) device receives an attachment request that includes information associated with a user device. The first MME device creates a context for the user device based on the information, stores the context, and creates an optimized context based on the context, wherein a size of the optimized context is smaller than a size of the context. The first MME device also identifies a second MME device that is a backup for the first MME device, and transmits the optimized context to the second MME device.
Abstract:
A network management system may detect a network condition corresponding to a network and evaluate the network condition to identify types of network performance information corresponding to the network condition. The network management system may prioritize the types of network performance information and communicate priority information to a network device. The priority information may include the types of network performance information identified by the network management system and/or the priority associated with each type of network performance information. The network device may receive the priority information, evaluate the availability of device resources, collect network performance information based on the priority information and the availability of device resources, and communicate the network performance information to the network management system.
