    Abstract: A user equipment may receive thermal mitigation guidelines. The user equipment may generate one or more temperature thresholds based on the thermal mitigation guidelines. The one or more temperature thresholds may define a first temperature zone and a second temperature zone. The user equipment may detect a temperature of the user equipment. The user equipment may identify whether the temperature occurs in the first temperature zone or the second temperature zone. The user equipment may select an action to perform based on whether the temperature occurs in the first temperature zone or the second temperature zone. The user equipment may perform the action to maintain or reduce the temperature of the user equipment.

    Abstract: A device receives information identifying device types associated with respective user devices, and determines a mechanism to indicate a device type, of the device types, to a network device associated with a network. The device type is associated with a user device of the respective user devices, and the mechanism includes a device type field, a device profile identifier, or an assistance information message that indicate the device type of the user device to the network device. The device provides, to the user device via the network device, information identifying the mechanism to indicate the device type of the user device to the network device. The information identifying the mechanism enables the user device to utilize the mechanism to indicate the device type of the user device to the network device.

    Abstract: A user equipment (UE) can determine a first measurement value and a second measurement value based on a 5G/New Radio (5G/NR) synchronization signal; determine a state of the UE, wherein the state relates to a 5G/NR connection state and a 4G/Long Term Evolution (4G/LTE) connection state of the UE; provide, for display, at least one network indicator indicating whether the UE is associated with a 4G/LTE connection and whether the UE is associated with a 5G/NR connection, wherein the at least one network indicator is based on the state; and provide, for display, at least one signal indicator indicating a signal strength associated with at least one of the 4G/LTE connection or the 5G/NR connection, wherein, when the signal strength is associated with the 5G/NR connection, the at least one signal indicator is based on the first measurement value and the second measurement value.
