    Abstract: A system, including: a computing device that executes an interactive application and generates and transmits image frames; a head-mounted display (HMD) that receives and presents the image frames, wherein the HMD includes a magnetic emitter that emits a magnetic signal having a synchronization encoding synchronized to the received image frames; a controller device that includes a magnetic sensor that detects the magnetic signal, wherein the controller device processes the detected magnetic signal to determine magnetic position data and read the synchronization encoding, wherein the controller device uses the synchronization encoding to generate corresponding timing data indicating a timing of the magnetic position data based on the synchronization encoding, wherein the controller device transmits the magnetic position data and the corresponding timing data to the computing device; wherein the computing device uses the magnetic position data and the corresponding timing data to determine the location and/or orientation of the controller device.

    Abstract: There are provided a head-mounted display, a display control method, and a program for changing the position of the image of an object near the optical axis of a camera in an image displayed on a display section. A camera control section controls the direction of the optical axis of the camera capturing an image of what is ahead of the display section disposed in front of the user's eyes. A display control section causes the display section to display a partial image cut out from the image captured by the camera, the partial image constituting a portion corresponding to the optical axis direction of the camera.

    Abstract: A tracking system uses one or more light sources to direct light toward one or more of a user's eyes. A dynamic vision sensor (DVS) operably coupled to a processor is configured to view the user's eyes. The DVS has an array of light-sensitive elements in a known configuration. The DVS outputs signals corresponding to events at corresponding light-sensitive elements in the array in response to changes in light from the light sources reflecting from a portion of the user's eyes. The output signals include information corresponding to locations of the corresponding light-sensitive elements in the array. The processor determines an association between each event and a corresponding particular light source and fits an orientation of the user's eyes using the determined association, the relative location of the light sources with respect to the user's eyes and the locations of the corresponding light-sensitive elements in the array.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein is an image processing apparatus including: a captured image acquisition unit configured to acquire data of a captured image; a correction unit configured to refer to a displacement vector map, which is stored in a storage unit and represents, on an image plane, displacement vectors each representative of a displacement amount and a displacement direction of a pixel used when the captured image is to be corrected to a display image or calculate the displacement vectors to correct the captured image; and an image display controlling unit configured to cause the corrected image to be displayed on a display panel.
