    Abstract: A display device is disclosed. In one aspect, the display device includes a substrate including a display area configured to display an image and a peripheral area surrounding the display area. The display device also includes a plurality of signal lines provided in the display area, an encapsulation layer provided over the signal lines and a pad portion provided in the peripheral area. The display device further includes a plurality of connection wires connecting the signal lines and the pad portion, wherein each of the connection wires includes a first portion provided in the peripheral area and a second portion provided in the display area. A portion of the encapsulation layer provided on the display area extends to the peripheral area and placed over the first portions of the connection wires.

    Abstract: An organic light emitting diode (“OLED”) display includes: a front display part including a plurality of front pixels disposed on a substrate, where the front pixels display an image on a front surface thereof; and a side display part including a plurality of side pixels disposed on the substrate, where the side pixels display an image on a side surface thereof, where the front display part and the side display part are configured to have different resonance structures from each other.

    Abstract: A display device includes: a substrate having: a display area; and a non-display area surrounding the display area; an inorganic layer disposed in the display area and the non-display area, the inorganic layer including openings exposing the substrate; a protruding portion disposed overlapping the openings, the protruding portion contacting the substrate exposed by the openings and including an organic material; and a passivation layer disposed on the inorganic layer, the passivation layer contacting the protruding portion. Such as structure is capable of minimizing or reducing the formation of cracks and preventing or reducing formed cracks from being propagated to the inside of the display device.
