Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, via first frequency ranges and first time periods, a plurality of sidelink control blocks that each indicate a sidelink positioning reference signal burst pattern for one or more sidelink UEs. The UE may receive, within a second frequency range and during a second time period, a plurality of multiplexed sidelink positioning reference signals from the one or more sidelink UEs in accordance with the sidelink positioning reference signal burst patterns. The UE may determine a position of the UE based at least in part on the receiving of the plurality of multiplexed sidelink positioning reference signals.

Abstract: A first UE may receive SCI including one or more resource reservations of a second UE based on an indication from a MAC layer to a PHY layer to monitor for the SCI including the one or more resource reservations of the second UE. The indication from the MAC layer to the PHY layer may trigger at least one of a sensing beam, a TCI state, or a spatial relation. The at least one of the sensing beam, the TCI state, or the spatial relation may be associated with monitoring for the SCI including the one or more resource reservations of the second UE. The first UE may transmit a beam to a target UE on one or more resources that are selected based on the one or more resource reservations of the second UE.

Abstract: Techniques for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive downlink control information (DCI) scheduling sidelink transmissions in one or more sets of multiple transmission time intervals (TTIs) over a shared spectrum. The UE may perform a listen-before-talk (LBT) for one or more of the TTIs in the one or more sets of multiple TTIs, and the UE may transmit, to a base station, an indication of results of the LBT performed for the one or more TTIs. Because the UE may provide the results of the LBT to the base station, the base station may be able to schedule sidelink transmissions from the UE based on the results of the LBT. As such, the UE may experience increased throughput in sidelink communications since the scheduling at the base station may be improved.

Abstract: Aspects relate to grouping sidelink carriers in a wireless communication network. A first wireless communication device, such as a user equipment (UE), may communicate with a base station on a cellular link utilizing a first set of first component carriers (CCs) in a particular frequency band. The UE may identify one or more first carrier groupings for the first set of first CCs with the base station. The UE may communicate with a second wireless communication device, such as a second UE, on a sidelink utilizing a second set of CCs within the same frequency band. The first UE may map at least one second CC to a respective corresponding first CC and apply the one more carrier groupings to the second set of CCs to generate one or more second carrier groupings based on the mapping.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The described techniques provide for first integrated access and backhaul (IAB) node establishing a signaling connection with an IAB donor node and a sidelink connection with a second IAB node or a user equipment (UE). The first IAB node may include a mobile termination unit and a distributed unit and may support sidelink communications. In some cases, the first IAB node may report an indication of sidelink communications support, receive an indication of sidelink communication authorization, and receive sidelink configuration information. The first IAB node may transmit one or more data messages to the IAB donor on the signaling connection and transmit one or more data messages to the second IAB node or the UE via the sidelink connection.
