    Abstract: A UE may identify a first beam condition associated with one or more first beam pairs between the UE and a first relay UE. The UE may transmit to a network node, and the network node may receive, from the UE, a request to switch to a new relay UE based on the first beam condition. The network node may transmit, to the UE, and the UE may receive, from the network node, an indication to switch to a second relay UE based on the request. The UE may switch to the second relay UE based on the indication to switch to the second relay UE. The UE and the network node may communicate with each other via the second relay UE.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a user equipment (UE) may receive a periodic reference signal from a base station and may measure the periodic reference signal as part of a beam failure detection (BFD) procedure. To detect a beam failure, the UE may autonomously select a beam failure indicator (BFI) counting scheme from a set of BFI counting schemes and may increment a BFI count in accordance with the selected BFI counting scheme and based on measuring the reference signal. The different BFI counting schemes of the set of BFI counting schemes may feature different techniques or methods for incrementing the BFI count per one or more BFI reports. As such, the UE may selectively choose how to weight different sets of one or more BFI reports in terms of contribution to the BFI count, which may improve BFD detection at the UE.

A user equipment (UE) may receive from a network entity first control signaling identifying, of multiple cell groups configured at the UE, an inter-cell mobility configuration for a set of one or more cell groups for use at the UE. In some aspects, a transmitter may broadcast a first set of network coding encoded packets for reception by a plurality of receivers, and receive feedback information associated with the first set of network coding encoded packets, the feedback information indicating that one or more receivers of the plurality of receivers did not successfully receive a quantity of network coding encoded packets that satisfies a decoding threshold associated with recovering the plurality of source packets, and a first subset of network coding encoded packets of the first set of network coding encoded packets that were not successfully received by at least one receiver. In some cases, a user equipment (UE) may receive a configuration associated with a beam blocking prediction procedure for the UE. Further, the UE may perform the beam blocking prediction procedure in accordance with the configuration and may modify the BFD procedure based a blocking prediction determined based on the beam blocking prediction procedure. The UE may perform the modified BFD procedure based on the blocking prediction.
