Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a remote wireless communication device may receive an indication to support multiple paths for a protocol data unit (PDU) session. The remote wireless communication device may establish a multi-access PDU (MA-PDU) session with a network entity over a direct path. The remote wireless communication device may configure the MA-PDU session to include an indirect path via a relay wireless communication device and associated with a non-3GPP interworking function (N3IWF). The remote wireless communication device may communicate via the MA-PDU session. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: A remote UE or a relay UE may identify a configuration for a relocation of one or more session termination points associated with one or more radio access packet data sessions from the relay UE to the remote UE or from the remote UE to the relay UE. The remote UE or the relay UE may execute the relocation of the one or more session termination points associated with the one or more radio access packet data sessions from the relay UE to the remote UE or from the remote UE to the relay UE based on the configuration. The session termination point relocation may be controlled by the remote UE, the relay UE, or a network entity. The remote UE may transmit or receive data with a network via the relay UE based on the relocation of the one or more session termination points.

Abstract: Aspects relate to a relay device detecting a change in a protocol data unit (PDU) session configuration that the relay device has established for a user equipment (UE) that accesses a network via the relay device. Upon detecting this change, the relay device signals an indication of the change to the UE. Aspects also relate to UE that is connected to a relay device and that reselects an interworking function (e.g., a non-3rd Generation Partnership Project interworking function (N3IWF)). In some examples, the UE receives an indication from the relay device that a serving relay PDU session configuration has changed and, in response, the UE selects a new interworking function.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a relay user equipment (UE) may establish a sidelink unicast link with a remote UE via a sidelink signaling interface. The relay UE may identify configuration information for an adaptation layer of the sidelink signaling interface, the configuration information including at least one of a remote UE identifier associated with the sidelink unicast link for a relay service, bearer identifier information identifying one or more bearers between the remote UE and a network entity for the relay service, a radio link control (RLC) channel mapping between a bearer identifier and one or more RLC channels, or data routing information associated with the relay service. The relay UE may relay communications between the remote UE and the network entity based at least in part on the configuration information. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a network entity may receive, from a relay node via a radio access link, information indicating a link layer identifier of the relay node associated with a relay service, wherein the relay node is associated with a radio access identifier. The network entity may configure a relay service with the relay node and a remote node using a mapping between the radio access identifier and the link layer identifier. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: Methods (1500, 1600, 1700, 1800, 1900), systems (1000, 1400) and devices (705, 805, 1005, 1105, 1205, 1405) for wireless communications are presented. A method (1500, 1600) may include the following operations. A UE determines to perform a handover from a first source device in a first network to a first target device in the first network and from a second source device in a second network to a second target device in the second network (1505, 1605). The UE identifies a time interval for performing a first random access procedure with the first target device in the first network (1510, 1610). The UE initiates a first random access procedure with the first target device (1515, 1615). The UE performs a second random access procedure successfully with the second target device in the second network during the time interval (1520, 1620). The UE transmits or receives from the target device in the second network before the UE finishes performing the first random access procedure with the first target device in the first network (1525, 1630).

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine a set of cell quality measurements for a set of candidate target cells. The UE may select a target cell, from the set of candidate target cells, and a beam, of one or more beams of the target cell, for a conditional handover procedure and based at least in part on the set of cell quality measurements. The UE may perform the conditional handover procedure to transfer from a source cell to the target cell based at least in part on selecting the target cell and the beam. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems, devices, apparatus and methods, including computer programs encoded on storage media, for layer 2 relay user equipment (UE) mobility. A relay UE relays data between a first network entity and a remote UE based on a first configuration of the remote UE. The relay UE may receive, from the first network entity on a first connection, a handover request that includes a second configuration for a second network entity or a third configuration for the remote UE. The relay UE determines whether dual active protocol stack radio link control channels are configured for the remote UE based on the first configuration or the third configuration. The relay UE establishes a second connection with the second network entity based on the second configuration, and transmits, to the remote UE, a handover status indicating a result of establishing the second connection with the second network entity.
