Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, devices, apparatus, and methods, including computer programs encoded on storage media, for measurement and reporting techniques based on zero power slots. A UE may receive an allocation of one or more ZP slots from a network entity. The one or more ZP slots may correspond to one or more transmission gaps associated with the network entity. The UE may detect noise energy in the one or more ZP slots corresponding to the one or more transmission gaps associated with the network entity and measure the noise energy detected in the one or more ZP slots. The measured noise energy in the one or more ZP slots may correspond to a frequency dependence of an Rx signal at the UE.

Abstract: Aspects presented herein may enable a transmitting device, such as a base station, to compress tone reservation signaling for PAPR reduction, such that the transmitting device may indicate to a receiving device the location of reserved tones and data tones of a transmission with a small payload. In one aspect, a base station estimates an UL channel based on one or more SRSs from a UE, the estimated UL channel corresponding to a DL channel. The base station selects a plurality of TR locations associated with at least one of the DL channel or the UL channel. The base station transmits, to the UE, an indication of the plurality of TR locations associated with at least one of the DL channel or the UL channel.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to beam management techniques in a wireless communication system. A UE establishes a communication link with a base station and receives a set of transmit beams transmitted via a plurality of symbols in a sequential manner, wherein a respective transmit beam is transmitted in a respective symbol of the plurality of symbols. The UE measures, for each transmit beam in the set of transmit beams, a set of signal strengths corresponding to the respective transmit beam using a plurality of receive beams in the respective symbol, wherein a respective signal strength is measured based on a respective receive beam. The UE then sends a feedback message to the base station comprising at least an identification of a transmit beam having a highest measured signal strength among all sets of signal strengths measured for the set of transmit beams and the highest measured signal strength.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A device may be configured to include an array of lenses along with multiple antenna arrays that each include a set of antenna elements. The antenna arrays may each support multiple beam directions, such as a respective beam direction for each lens of the array of lenses. If beams for multiple antenna arrays concurrently pass through the same lens, the lens may contribute to maintaining separation between the beams. Lenses may also contribute to the shaping of beams, and the use of multiple lenses may enhance a coverage area for beams transmitted or received by the antenna arrays.
