Systems and methods are disclosed for sharing a discovery. The method may include receiving a first announcement from an announcement device, receiving a share instruction indicating that the received announcement is of interest to the user of the mobile device; generating discovery sharing data based on the received first announcement in response to the share instruction, transmitting the discovery sharing data to an external server, receiving an update indicator from the external server indicating that the metadata associated with the mobile device has been updated, and generating a second announcement associated with the mobile device based on the update indicator.
Abstract:
A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus may be a target UE, an initiator UE, or an MME. In one configuration, the apparatus is an initiator UE. The initiator UE determines a network address of a target UE based on a target expression, sends a connection request including information associated with the initiator UE to the target UE at the determined network address, sends information associated with the target UE to an MME serving the initiator UE, and receives, from the MME serving the initiator UE, one or more parameters for communicating with the target UE. Further, the initiator UE communicates with the target UE based on the one or more parameters.

The claimed subject matter relates to systems and methods for processing messages in a wireless communications environment. In an aspect, a communications method is provided. The method includes initiating a registration with a network domain node and generating sequence information with respect to the registration. The sequence information is then employed to facilitate further communications with the network domain node.

Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods and apparatus for wireless communication, and more specifically to advertising discovery information, relaying discovery information, and to the secure relay of discovery information in wireless networks. Various frame structures are provided for such transmitting and relaying of discovery information. According to certain aspects of the present disclosure, security is provided for relaying discovery information. According to certain aspects of the present disclosure, compensation may be provided to a device that relays discovery information (e.g., when the relaying results in a transaction).
Abstract:
An apparatus for wireless communication is provided. The apparatus determines, through sensors of a first vehicle, second-vehicle information associated with a second vehicle. In addition, the apparatus generates at least one safety message to include the determined second-vehicle information of the second vehicle. Further, the apparatus transmits the at least one safety message. The apparatus improves the performance/benefit of V2V communications technology by transmitting BSMs for other vehicles, including non-V2V vehicles without such V2V communications technology. Accordingly V2V vehicles will be able to better assess the traffic situation.

A method for communication includes accessing all sub-channels in a communication frame, generating a counter that counts down beginning with a received first listen before talk (LBT) communication symbol, determining whether the counter reaches zero before receiving a second LBT communication symbol, determining whether a desired number N of contiguous sub-channels are available, and if the desired number N of contiguous sub-channels are available, transmitting an LBT symbol.
Abstract:
A UE registers with a paging hub to a message forwarding service that is configured to forward information from messages wirelessly transmitted by two or more RANs associated with different RAT-types to the UE over a local wireless network that is separate from the two or more RANs. The UE refrains from monitoring a set of downlink wireless channels used by the two or more RANs while the paging hub monitors the set of downlink wireless channels on behalf of the UE. The paging hub detects a signaling message that is targeted to the UE by a given RAN, and forwards a message including information derived from the signaling message to the local wireless network for transmission to the UE. The UE receives the forwarded message and selectively communicates with the given RAN in response to the received message.
Abstract:
A method, an apparatus, and a computer-readable medium for wireless communication are provided. In an exemplary embodiment, the apparatus can receive a packet at a Uu protocol stack of a first user equipment (UE), the packet intended for a base station. In addition, the apparatus can transfer the packet from the Uu protocol stack of the first UE to a PC5 interface protocol stack of the first UE. Furthermore, the apparatus can modify a header of the packet at the PC5 interface protocol stack to identify the packet as relayed uplink traffic intended for the base station from the first UE. Moreover, the apparatus can transmit the packet including the modified header to a second UE for relaying to the base station.

The disclosure generally relates to synchronizing application account data using out-of-band device-to-device (D2D) communication between peer wireless devices. More particularly, a first device may generate a local unique expression that includes a name, one or more user credentials, and a last update time associated with an application registered for a D2D-based application synchronization service. In response to detecting one or more external unique expressions from one or more peer devices in proximity that match the name and the user credentials associated with the registered application, the first device may then identify, among the one or more peer devices, an update device associated with an external unique expression having a last update time more recent than the last update time associated with the local unique expression and request an update to synchronize the application account data associated with the registered application from the update device over an out-of-band D2D connection.
