Abstract: A secondary battery according to one embodiment of the present disclosure comprises a positive electrode, a negative electrode, a positive electrode lead that is electrically connected to the positive electrode, and an insulating tape that covers a part of the positive electrode lead. The positive electrode lead has: one end part which is connected to an exposed part of a positive electrode collector that constitutes the positive electrode; and an extension part which extends outwardly from the one end part beyond the periphery of the positive electrode collector. An insulating layer is arranged on the outer surface of the one end part of the positive electrode lead; and the insulating layer is covered by the insulating tape.

Abstract: An alkaline dry cell includes a bottomed cylindrical cell case, a positive electrode packed in the cell case and is made of a stack of n pieces of hollow cylindrical pellets, a negative electrode disposed in a hollow portion of the pellets, a separator interposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode, and an alkaline electrolytic solution. A thickness of a body portion of the cell case is 0.08 to 0.16 mm. “n” is an integer of 3 or more. An average density dm of manganese dioxide in the n pellets is 2.80 to 3.00 g/cm3. A density of manganese dioxide of at least one pellet positioned in a middle portion in a height direction of the stack is 2.75 g/cm3 or less.
