    Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to fallback behavior for sounding reference signal (SRS) transmissions. According to embodiments of the present disclosure, a terminal device determines an activation/deactivation on the configured SRS resource in radio resource control (RRC)_INACTIVE state and behaviours of the terminal device depend on the activation/deactivation. In this way, it improves positioning accuracy for terminal devices in RRC-INACTIVE state. Additionally, it can also improve power consumption efficiency by avoiding unnecessary power consumption of the terminal device.

    Abstract: Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for channel occupancy time (COT) sharing for sidelink (SL) in unlicensed spectrum are provided. One method may include, upon acquiring a COT, an initiating user equipment (UE) transmitting a first indication to one or more responding UEs. The first indication may include at least a duration of the channel occupancy time (COT) and/or configuration information for at least one second indication. The method may also include transmitting the at least one second indication to the one or more responding UEs prior to a SL transmission from the one or more responding UEs. The at least one second indication may include an indication of a listen before talk (LBT) type that the one or more responding UEs should apply for the SL transmission taking place within the COT duration and/or an indication of a new COT duration.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to UL-based and DL-based positioning in a wireless communication network. A method comprises: determining, by a first device, an estimation of a propagation delay for a first reference signal to be transmitted from a second device; in accordance with a determination that the estimation of the propagation delay exceeds a threshold delay, determining a target period within a symbol on which at least a part of the first reference signal is transmitted; and performing positioning measurements on the first reference signal within the target period. As such, the receiver is capable of applying an adaptive and adjustable window for receiving different positioning reference signals (PRSs) depending on various conditions and situations. In this way, the PRS measurement performance and the positioning accuracy can be greatly improved.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to devices, methods, apparatuses and computer readable storage media of Channel Occupancy Time (COT) for Sidelink (SL) communication in Unlicensed band (U-band). The method includes receiving, at a first device and from a second device, configuration information associated with a COT at least for a SL transmission of the first device on an unlicensed resource pool allocated for the first device, the configuration information at least indicating whether a listen before talk procedure is required to be performed at the first device within the COT before the SL transmission; and performing the SL transmission within the COT based on the configuration information. In this way, the COT sharing mechanism can be used for SL communications in U-band and therefore a sensing procedure for resource selection may not be impacted by the LBT procedure.

    Abstract: A method for a base station includes sending a request for a report on beamforming capability to a target user equipment; receiving the report on the beamforming capability from the target user equipment; allocating at least one positioning reference signal resource for use by the target user equipment based on at least the capability information included in the report; determining a beam sweeping mle based on the at least one positioning reference signal resource allocated for the target user equipment; and sending the positioning reference signal resource allocation and the beam sweeping mle to the target user equipment. A corresponding method for a user equipment includes receiving a request for a report on beamforming capability from a serving base station; sending the report on the beamforming capability to the serving base station; receiving information relating to at least one positioning reference signal resource and a beam sweeping rule from the serving base station; and performing beam sweeping on uplink positioning reference signal transmissions using the received positioning reference signal resource allocation based on the beam sweeping rule.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to methods, devices, apparatuses, and computer readable medium for positioning enhancement mechanism. A first device determines that a third device is to transmit a positioning related message in a non-connected state. The first device transmits assistance information to a second device serving the third device. The assistance information comprises at least one of data size and a transmission periodicity for the positioning related message. By means of the assistance information, the base stations are provided with proactive knowledge of the positioning related message. In this way, the base station is capable of determining appropriate configurations for the SDT procedure. The terminal device may then transmit the positioning related message in the RRC NON-CONNECTED state via the SDT. As such, the efficiency of SDT procedure can be improved, while avoiding segmentation or subsequent transmission of the positioning report.
