Abstract: The present invention relates to methods and apparatuses for providing selective network access, wherein a cell type indication is provided based on at least one of a preamble and a header portion of a broadcast signal. At the receiving end, it is checked based on at least one of the preamble and the header portion, whether broadcast signals are received from different first and second cell types. The first cell type is selected for network access, if both broadcast signals from the first and second cell types are received with sufficient strength.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method for multiple input multiple output (MIMO) communications. For example, scheduling information is received at a terminal device from a network device, the scheduling information at least indicates physical resource blocks shared by a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) of the terminal device and a further DMRS of at least one further terminal device, and different sub-carriers allocated to the DMRS and the further DMRS in each of physical resource blocks, and the number of physical resource blocks is indivisible by a total number of the terminal device and the at least one further terminal device. The DMRS is generated, and a length of the DMRS is determined based on the number of physical resource blocks and the number of at least one further terminal device. The DMRS is transmitted to the network device on the sub-carriers allocated to the DMRS in the physical resource blocks. A corresponding method implemented at a network device such as a base station, and a terminal device and network device capable of implementing the above methods are also disclosed.

Abstract: A UE is configured with restrictions that restrict resources carrying RSs and IMRs to specific resources to be used by the UE for determining CSI. The restrictions are both of the following: first restrictions in time, frequency, or both time and frequency of resources that carry the reference signals; and second restrictions in time, frequency, or both time and frequency of resources that carry the interference measurement resources. The RSs and IMRs are transmitted by a base station to and received by the UE. The UE determines the CSI based on the specific resources for the RSs and IMRs. The CSI, determined based on the RS, IMRs, and the restrictions, is received from and transmitted by the UE. The base station uses the CSI for a MU-MIMO transmission. Apparatus, methods, computer software, and program products are disclosed.
