Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for cell aggregation are disclosed. In accordance with one aspect information regarding a predefined maximum number of cells that can be aggregated by a communication device on a single carrier resource is sent by the communication device. Said Information is received by a network node where after control on cell aggregation can be based on the information, and the communication device can support cell aggregation on the single carrier resource up to said maximum number of cells.
Abstract:
A technique including determining that a first access node serving a communication device is currently in a dormant, first state in which said first access node is not receiving radio transmissions; and controlling a radio transmitter or radio transceiver at said communication device to transmit a radio signal that triggers at least one second access node to alert said first access node of a request for said first access node to switch from said first state to a second state in which said first access node receives radio transmissions.
Abstract:
Systems and techniques for negotiated control of multipoint coordination. A first device (such as a central entity or base station) signals a second device regarding its desire to assert control over, or readiness to accept control by, the second device, with respect to coordinated radio transmission. The negotiation may include, for example, acceptance of control, rejection of control, specification of resources subject to or exempt from control, and priority-based decisions to override or refrain from overriding rejections. Coordinated transmission is then conducted based on the outcome of the negotiation.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus can be configured to transmit a physical-resource-block muting request to a neighboring network entity. The method can also include transmitting at least one muting priority level for at least one physical-resource-block of the physical-resource-block muting request.

Abstract:
At a wireless node in a wireless network, multiple interference estimation resources are received in a time-frequency resource space. The multiple interference estimation resources are resource elements in an assigned physical shared channel of the time-frequency resource space that do not contain physical shared channel data for the wireless node. An interference covariance matrix is determined from received signals on the multiple interference estimation resources. Symbol estimates are determined for a desired signal based in part by using the interference covariance matrix. Methods, computer programs and products and apparatus are disclosed. The techniques may be used for uplink, downlink, or D2D communications.
Abstract:
The present invention addresses method, apparatus and computer program product for dynamic cell clustering for Coordinated Multipoint operation. Clustering metric information defining relevant metrics for making cell clustering decision for Coordinated Multipoint operation are received from a network element serving a neighboring cell, and based on the received clustering metric information, it is decided whether to include the neighboring cell to a cluster for Coordinated Multipoint operation.

Abstract:
Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for joint network assisted interference cancellation and suppression (NAICS) and coordinated multi-point (COMP) operation are provided. One method includes configuring, by a network node, a victim user equipment and interfering user equipment in transmission mode 10 (TM10) with multiple channel state information (CSI) processes to perform dynamic point muting. The method may further include signaling network assisted interference cancellation and suppression (NAICS) information to the victim user equipment pretending the interfering user equipment mode is transmission mode 9 (TM9) or transmission mode 8 (TM8).
