    Abstract: A system and method for jetting a viscous material includes an electronic controller and a jetting dispenser operatively coupled with the electronic controller. The jetting dispenser includes an outlet orifice and a piezoelectric actuator operatively coupled with a movable shaft. The jetting dispenser is under control of the electronic controller for causing said piezoelectric actuator to move the shaft and jet an amount of the viscous material from the outlet orifice. The electronic controller sends a waveform to the piezoelectric actuator to optimize control of the jetting operation.

    Abstract: A fluid dispenser includes a dispenser body including an actuator, a fluid body housing, and a fluid body. The fluid body housing is coupled to the dispenser body at one end and releasably coupled to the dispenser body at another end, such that the fluid body housing is pivotable between a first position in which the fluid body housing is coupled to the dispenser body at both ends and a second position in which the fluid body housing is decoupled from the dispenser body at the other end. The fluid body includes a fluid inlet and a dispensing valve. The fluid body is at least partly retained in the fluid body housing when the fluid body housing is in the first position and is removable from the fluid body housing when the fluid body housing is in the second position.

    Abstract: Jetting dispensers and methods for jetting droplets of fluid material are disclosed. A jetting dispenser may include a fluid module and a plunger. A fluid module includes a fluid body member having within it a fluid body bore, and a nozzle having a dispensing opening. A plunger has a distal tip end surface that opposes and is complementary to a nozzle element surface of the nozzle adapted is moveable between a retracted position spaced from the dispensing opening and a forward position proximate to but spaced from the nozzle. At least one droplet of fluid material is jetted from the dispensing opening as the plunger moves from the retracted position to the forward position. The plunger is stopped prior to contacting the nozzle, so wear is lessoned and fluid material containing particles may be dispensed.

    Abstract: A jetting dispenser including an actuator housing, an actuator, a fluid body housing, and a fluid body. The actuator is located in the actuator housing and the fluid body housing is coupled to the actuator housing. The fluid body is coupled to the fluid body housing and includes a fluid inlet in communication with a fluid bore. The fluid body further includes a jetting valve having a movable shaft operatively coupled with the actuator when the fluid body housing is coupled to the actuator housing. The shaft is moved by the actuator to jet an amount of fluid from the fluid bore. The fluid body is capable of being removed from the fluid body housing when the fluid body housing is decoupled from the actuator housing.
