    Abstract: A device, system and method for selecting calls for forwarding to a communication device is provided. An automated call-answering device answers a plurality of calls associated with an incident. The device assigns, to the plurality of calls, questions associated with the incident, each of the questions assigned to at least two of the plurality of calls. The device asks the questions on the plurality of calls, as assigned. The device receives answers to the questions. The device selects a call to be forwarded to a communication device operated by a human user, the call selected from a group of the plurality of calls where one or more consistent answers were received in response to a given question, the call further selected based on voice attributes of callers in the group of the plurality of calls. The device forwards, to the communication device, the call as selected.

    Abstract: A process for validating a public safety agency command issued to a vehicle. In operation, a public safety agency controller receives a public safety agency command validation inquiry from a vehicle communication device. The inquiry indicates that the vehicle communication device has detected a public safety agency command issued to the vehicle and includes a first vehicle identifier and a first vehicle location. The controller receives a public safety agency command information including a second vehicle identifier and a second vehicle location from a public safety agency communication device. The validity of the public safety agency command is determined based on comparing the first vehicle identifier with the second vehicle identifier and comparing the first vehicle location with the second vehicle location. The controller then transmits a notification to the vehicle communication device identifying the validity of the public safety agency command.

    Abstract: An analysis engine of an anomaly detection system receives an input captured by a monitoring device, determines, based on a currently used anomaly detection model, that the input represents an object or event that should not be classified as an anomaly, and determines, based on a previously used model, that the input was previously classified as an anomaly. In response, the analysis engine determines a respective classification result for the input based on additional models used between the currently and previously used models, determines, based on the respective classification results, that it is likely that the anomaly detection system has been deliberately re-trained to falsely classify the input, and initiates an action to correctly classify the input as representing an object or event that should be classified as an anomaly. The anomaly detection models and classification results may be stored in a training repository for the anomaly detection system.

    Abstract: A device, system and method for modifying actions associated with an emergency call is provided. A mobile device operates a virtual assistant application, which connects to an emergency call that includes a dispatcher and a caller communicating on the emergency call. The mobile device monitors, using the virtual assistant application, the emergency call to determine context information of the emergency call. The mobile device receives, at the virtual assistant application, sensor data from sensors associated with the mobile device. The mobile device correlates, using the virtual assistant application, the context information with the sensor data. The mobile device causes, using the virtual assistant application, a modification of an action associated with the emergency call based on a correlation between the context information with the sensor data.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for disambiguating touch interactions is disclosed. Specifically, a plurality of touch events may be received from an input device. The touch events may each occur at a relative time and location with respect to the other touch events. Based at least on the relative locations and relative times of each touch event, a predetermined number of touch events may be grouped into combinations of touch events. For example, touch events may be grouped together into a first and second touch event set based on a largest time difference between consecutive touch events. An action may be determined based at least on the first touch event set. Accordingly, the first touch event set may be disambiguated from other touch interactions and an associated action may be selected from a broader set of possible actions.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods and systems for automatic creation of talkgroups based on received signal strength indicator (RSSI). In one embodiment, a first mobile radio broadcasts a talkgroup invite and receives responses from other mobile radios. The first mobile radio selects one or more of those other mobile radios based at least in part, for each received response, on one or both of (i) an invite-RSSI value included in the response and associated with receipt of the invite by the mobile radio from which the response was received and (ii) a response-RSSI value associated with receipt by the first mobile radio of the response. The first mobile radio establishes a talkgroup that includes itself and the one or more selected other mobile radios, and communicates as a participant in the established talkgroup.
