    摘要: A power control system for a ring laser gyro including a beam intensity readout. A monitor is coupled to the beam intensity readout for generating an intensity signal indicative of the intensity of the beam at an intensity signal output. A signal averager is coupled to the intensity signal output, the signal averager providing an average intensity signal at an average intensity signal output. An analog-to-digital convertor is coupled to the average intensity signal output for converting the average intensity signal output to a digital signal on a digital signal output. A processor is coupled to the digital signal output and generates a power control signal on a power control line in response to and in proportion to the value of the digital signal. A power supply is coupled at a programmable input to the power control line where the power supply means outputs a voltage signal on a voltage supply line coupled to a ring laser gyro electrode, where the voltage signal is responsive to the power control signal and the processor and power supply operate together so as to control a voltage signal in response to variations in beam intensity.

    摘要: A ring laser gyro bias drift improvement method and apparatus for compensating for periodic bias drift including a microprocessor which controls a path length control circuit that continuously adjusts the position of path length control mirrors. The mirrors are stepped through a range of positions that represent two laser modes. The microprocessor adjusts the position of the two path length control mirrors such that total path length remains constant. The invention improves bias drift by forcing the laser gyro system to operate at varying path length control positions. Each position has a varying bias that was shown to be periodic over two laser modes. By operating the laser system over a range of two laser modes the periodic bias error of the laser gyro is cancelled out over time.

    摘要: A magnetoresistive sensor system having resistive elements changing in ohmic value in the presence of a magnetic field of a current being measured. The variant values of the elements are amplified by some electronics that inherently add offset to the resultant values. The elements themselves also add an offset. The output of the electronics is modulated and then buffered as an output. This output is demodulated and integrated. The resultant signal is fed back to the input of the electronics to null out the offsets. The output of the buffer also goes to an inductive coil that is magnetically coupled to the resistive elements to null out the magnetic field from the current being measured. The buffer output indicates the magnitude of the current being measured. An oscillator outputs a signal to actuate the modulator and the demodulator. The oscillator signal also goes to a set/reset circuit for setting and resetting the resistive elements of the magnetoresistive sensor.

    摘要: An alpha particle resistant memory cell and array with complementary, differential data in, data out and write enable inputs capable of independent, simultaneous read/write operations. During write operations, clocked differential write and data inputs steer cell current to induce differential cell voltages indicative of the stored data. During read operations, a read select input shifts the voltage levels of the selected cell to produce a distinguishable output which dominates over the other cells to appropriately steer current at a sense amplifier to identify the binary cell contents. A 64 row by 12 bit register stack, with split word write, master reset and read enable is also disclosed.

    摘要: A circuit of 24 transistors and 16 resistors forming an interconnected constant current source, two differential current switches, and level shifter receives scan/set test data, clock, and enablement signals for, when connected to each of the set Q and clear Q output signals of a differential feedback latch, enabling scan/set testability of such latch. Both the latch and the connected circuit, forming in aggregate a scan/set testable latch, are implementable in Emitter Coupled Logic or current Mode Logic from standard cells of gate array technology using two levels of series gating and two current sources, which standard cells are otherwise useful for the generation of other logic macros. The differential feedback latch, experiencing but a small added capacitance from the connected circuit, continues to operate fast during normal operation, but is slow in operation for scan/set test wherein the connected circuit needs overcome differential feedback loops within the latch which are still active.
