Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to a time division duplex (TDD) antenna sector switch. A device may determine one or more antenna sector configurations based on TDD beamforming, wherein the one or more antenna sector configurations are associated with first antenna sectors used to communicate with a first station device (STA). The device may initiate a TDD sector switch with the first STA to switch from the one or more first antenna sectors to one or more second antenna sectors. The device may cause to send, to the first STA, an action frame comprising TDD sector setting parameters associated with the TDD sector switch. The device may identify a response frame received from the first STA, wherein the response frame comprises the TDD sector setting parameters. The device may perform the TDD sector switch by switching from the one or more first antenna sectors to the one or more second antenna sectors.

Abstract: This disclosure describes methods, apparatus, and systems related to media access control (MAC) range extension. A device may cause to append a training field to each of one or more beacon frames. The device may cause to send the one or more beacon frames directionally using a sector sweep to one or more responder devices during a first interval. The device may determine an extended schedule element to be sent to the one or more responder devices, the extended schedule element including one or more directional antenna sectors to be used by the device during a second interval. The device may identify a first frame from a first responder device, during the second interval, wherein the first frame is received on a directional antenna sector of the one or more directional antenna sectors corresponding to an operating sector of the first responder device.

Abstract: A wireless communication device, system and method. The device includes a memory, a processing circuitry coupled to the memory and including logic, the processing circuitry to cause communication in an Enhanced Directional Multi-Gigabit (EDMG) network. The processing circuitry may be configured to: activate at least one Radio Frequency (RF) chain of a plurality of RF chains to allow detection of a preamble of a wireless communication and to allow a setting of a Network Allocation Vector (NAV); detect the preamble using the at least one RF chain; set the NAV using the at least one RF chain; maintain a backoff timer for the at least one RF chain; and, in response to a determination that the backoff timer has reached zero, cause a Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) wireless communication in the EDMG network.
