Abstract: This application provides a data packet integrity protection method and apparatus, and a storage medium. A first network device configures a terminal to perform integrity protection on a part of data packets in a MAC PDU. After receiving a first data packet and a second data packet from the terminal, a second network device sends the first data packet, the second data packet, and first indication information to the first network device, to indicate that the two data packets belong to a same MAC PDU. When failing to perform integrity verification on the first data packet based on the first indication information fails, the first network device discards the foregoing two data packets. This reduces complexity of integrity protection.

Abstract: A communications method and apparatus are provided. The method includes: A first access network device sends a first message to a core network device, where the first message is used to indicate to suspend one or both of a first PDU session and a second PDU session.
