Abstract: Provided are an automatic analysis device capable of suppressing the mixing in of a suspended matter in an upper layer sample to be dispensed from a specimen container to a reaction container; and a method for controlling the automatic analysis device. The automatic analysis device analyzes a specimen and comprises a specimen dispensing probe that dispenses the upper layer sample of a specimen which has been separated into the upper layer sample and a lower layer sample, from a specimen container containing the specimen to a reaction container; and a control unit that controls the operation of the specimen dispensing probe. The control unit causes the specimen dispensing probe to remove part of the surface layer of the upper layer sample and/or apply vibrations to the surface layer of the upper layer sample and then dispense the upper layer sample from the specimen container to the reaction container.

Abstract: A high-throughput automatic analyzer integrates a biochemical analysis section and a blood coagulation analysis section. The analyzer is capable of achieving a reduction in size, system cost, and lifecycle cost. The automatic analyzer includes: a reaction disk; a first reagent dispensing mechanism that dispenses a reagent to reaction cells on the reaction disk; a photometer that irradiates a reaction solution in the reaction cell with light; a reaction cell cleaning mechanism; a reaction vessel supply unit that supplies a disposable reaction vessel for mixing and reacting a sample and a reagent with each other; a second reagent dispensing mechanism that dispenses a reagent to the disposable reaction vessel; a blood coagulation time measuring section that irradiates a reaction solution in the disposable reaction vessel with light to detect transmitted or scattered light; and a sample dispensing mechanism that dispenses a sample to the reaction cell and the disposable reaction vessel.

Abstract: The present invention provides a system that makes a recommendation, to an operator, of a countermeasure method considered appropriate from a precursory stage of abnormality. This recommended action notification system comprises: a plurality of automatic analyzers 51 that include a first automatic analyzer; and a learning device 52 that is connected to a network 53. The recommended action notification system is for making a recommendation to an operator for an action to be executed on the first automatic analyzer. Said recommended action notification system is provided with: a processing portion 63 that receives specimen analysis result data or maintenance result data from the first automatic analyzer, that inputs related device data including the specimen analysis result data or the maintenance result data to learning models 72, and that, when a probability value that is for recommending execution of a predetermined action and that is outputted by a learning model is equal to or higher than a predetermined threshold value, makes a recommendation to the operator for the predetermined action to be executed on the first automatic analyzer; and an update portion 71 that updates the learning model on the basis of the learning dataset from the plurality of automatic analyzers.

Abstract: An automatic analysis device has a plurality of types of photometers having different quantitative ranges, and an analysis control unit for quantifying the desired component in specimens based on measurement values of one or more photometers selected from among the plurality of types of photometers. The analysis control unit: sets a switching region in an overlap region of respective quantitative ranges of the plurality of types of photometers, said switching region having a greater width than does the variation in quantitative values of the desired component based on the measurement values of photometers having the same specimen; compares the quantitative value of a quantitative range portion that corresponds to the switching region and the quantitative values of the desired component based on the measurement values of the photometers; and selects a photometer to be used in quantitative output of the desired component from among the plurality of types of photometers.
