Abstract:
Disclosed is an image transferring apparatus for transferring an image displayed by a first program to a second program. The image transferring apparatus comprises: image copying means for storing a copy of the image into a predetermined temporary storage area; and image transferring means for acquiring the copy of the image from the temporary storage area before transferring the acquired copy to the second program. With this configuration, the image displayed by a first program is transferred to a second program by way of a temporary storage area, in accordance with display position information about the on-screen image, or in the form of a file accommodating the image of interest. The transfer of the image between the programs is accomplished in a simplified and reliable manner.
Abstract:
A content processing routine divides a thumbnail-area according to data size and generates the same number of pixels values as the number of divided thumbnail-areas. The content processing routine sets the generated pixel values to the divided thumbnail-areas and controls the display processing so that the thumbnails set with the pixel values are displayed.
Abstract:
The thumbnail icons representing content items stored in a Memory Stick are displayed as aligned in a linear manner. The sequence of the alignment of the thumbnail icons follows the sequence of the sort icons displayed in the control area. By rotating the jog dial, the user can scroll the thumbnail icons displayed in the view area. Rotating the jog dial, the user displays the thumbnail icon representing a desired content item as a selected thumbnail icon (at the center) and then presses the jog dial. Consequently, the content item represented by the selected thumbnail icon is reproduced.
Abstract:
An apparatus and a method for processing information, and a program and a program storing medium are disclosed in which a user can surely recognize the change of images when they are operated. Upon detection of an operation, a processing manager applies, every predetermined period, a transition function to an elapsed time from the detection of the operation to compute a ratio of the movement of an image to a distance from the current position of the displayed image to a destination specified by the operation. On the basis of the obtained ratio of the movement of the image, the processing manger specifies a display position of the image toward the destination. A content processing routine controls the display so that the image is displayed at the specified position every predetermined period.
Abstract:
An image retrieval method and an image retrieval apparatus are disclosed in which it is possible to identify in which image-information recording medium or in which group an image to be retrieved is included. The image retrieval apparatus has a recording controller for recording image information on a disk drive or a hard disk drive. A reduction/expansion controller generates an index picture of a predetermined group of the image information. A retrieval-information storage unit generates index picture IDs, medium IDs, and folder IDs while correlating the above different types of IDs with each other, and stores the IDs together with the index pictures. With this arrangement, a desired item of image information is retrieved by using the index pictures, the index picture IDs, the medium IDs, and the folder IDs. It is thus possible to obtain a target image by sequentially checking the index picture visually.
Abstract:
A video-image selection unit cyclically acquires at least two types of video images. A replacing mask determination unit selects, for each acquired video image, a mask pattern for masking a video image acquired by the video-image selection unit by replacing some pixels composing the video image with pixels of a single color such that said some pixels are spatially removed. Based on the mask pattern, the video-image replacing unit replaces said some pixels composing the video image with the pixels of a single color. A video-image output unit outputs the video image for which the replacement was performed. When selecting a mask pattern, the replacing mask determination unit selects a mask pattern that is different from a mask pattern used for the last video image, the mask pattern being different in the position of pixels not to be replaced with pixels of a single color.
Abstract:
An information processing apparatus and a program are provided to execute a sequence of processing operations including the recording of video data recorded to a first recording medium in a first format to a second recording medium in a second format without user's manual intervention. When a startup block detects that a digital video tape can be acquired from a DV, a processing control block makes a DVD format block, a check block, a bit rate setting block, an acquisition block, a menu creation block, and a DVD write block sequentially execute their processing operations in this order as sequence of processing operations, thereby recording the video data recorded to the digital video tape loaded on the DV to a DVD loaded on a DVD-R/RW drive without user's manual intervention.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an information processing apparatus adapted to execute a sequence of processing operations for recording video data recorded to a first recording medium in a first format to a second recording medium in a second format, without user's manual intervention. Any one of three settings is provided in accordance with total time Tx of data to be written to a DVD: a first setting in which a maximum value of image bit rate (first value B1) and a maximum value of audio bit rate (second value B2) are used; a second setting in which a first value of image bit rate and a third value B3 of audio bit rate are used; and a third setting in which a fourth value of image bit rate determined on the basis of line 152 and the third value B3 of audio bit rate are used. The present invention is applicable to information processing apparatuses for recording the data recorded to a digital cassette video tape to a DVD.
Abstract:
An information processing apparatus is configured to execute a sequence of processing operations for recording video data recorded to a first recording medium in a first format to a second recording medium in a second format, without user's manual intervention. Any one of three settings is provided in accordance with total time Tx of data to be written to a DVD: a first setting in which a maximum value of image bit rate (first value B1) and a maximum value of audio bit rate (second value B2) are used; a second setting in which a first value of image bit rate and a third value B3 of audio bit rate are used; and a third setting in which a fourth value of image bit rate determined on the basis of a line and the third value B3 of audio bit rate are used. The information processing apparatus may be an apparatus for recording the data recorded to a digital cassette video tape to a DVD.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an information processing apparatus and a program for executing a sequence of processing operations including the recording of video data recorded to a first recording medium in a first format to a second recording medium in a second format without user's manual intervention. If the information processing apparatus determines that the recording time of a frame just reproduced by a predetermined reproduction device is earlier than the recording time of a frame reproduced by said reproduction device immediately before the above-mentioned frame (step S89) or an unrecorded area has been reproduced by the reproduction device for more than a predetermined period of time (step S90), the information processing apparatus stops the acquisition of the data recorded to a digital video tape reproduced by the reproduction device (step S92), thereby stopping the reproduction of the digital video tape (step S93). The present invention is applicable to information processing apparatus for recording data from digital cassette video tape to DVD, for example.
